一念永恒

**Chapter 110: The Web of Deceit Crumbles**

White Xiaopu's voice was laced with skepticism as he repeated the stranger's accusation. The stranger's eyes flashed with anger, but before he could respond, the air was filled with the sound of footsteps, growing louder with each passing moment.

Ling'er, accompanied by a group of robed figures, emerged from the shadows, her eyes fixed on White Xiaopu. The stranger's gaze followed hers, and a mixture of emotions played across his face.

"Ah, Ling'er," the stranger said, his voice tinged with longing. "I see you're still bound to this mortal coil."

Ling'er's eyes narrowed, her grip on the staff in her hand tightening. "You're the one who's been following me," she accused, her voice low and menacing.

The stranger shrugged, a sly smile spreading across his face. "I've been searching for the truth. For the truth behind your disappearance."

White Xiaopu's eyes widened as the truth began to dawn on him. "You're the one who's been gaslighting me," he accused, his voice rising in anger.

Ling'er's gaze turned to him, her eyes pleading. "White Xiaopu, it's not what it seems. This stranger is—"

But the stranger interrupted her, his voice cold and calculating. "Ah, stop trying to defend him, Ling'er. He's just as guilty as I am."

The room erupted into chaos as the strangers' words sparked a fire of anger and resentment. White Xiaopu's instincts screamed at him to defend himself, but Ling'er's hand on his arm held him back.

"No, White Xiaopu," she whispered urgently. "Don't let him provoke you. We need to get to the bottom of this."

But White Xiaopu was beyond reason. His anger boiled over, and he lunged at the stranger, his fists flying. The room became a blur of punches and kicks, the sound of crashing furniture and shattering glass filling the air.

Ling'er's cry of warning was drowned out by the cacophony, and White Xiaopu's world went dark.

When he came to, he was lying on the ground, his head throbbing in pain. Ling'er was kneeling beside him, her eyes worried.

"White Xiaopu, are you okay?" she asked, her voice trembling.

White Xiaopu's gaze flickered, and he sat up, his mind reeling. "What...what happened?" he stammered.

Ling'er's grip on his arm tightened. "We need to get out of here. Now."

But before they could move, the stranger's voice echoed through the room, his words dripping with malice.

"This isn't over, White Xiaopu. Not by a long shot."

As the room fell silent, White Xiaopu's eyes locked onto the stranger, a sense of foreboding settling in his gut. The web of deceit had just unraveled, but the real game was only just beginning.
