**77章:「权力之争」 (Contest of Military Authority)**
Captain Zhang's words hung in the air like a challenge, and Lin Hao's eyes never left his. The tension in the room was palpable, and the other soldiers were all holding their breath, sensing that something big was about to go down.
"You may have completed your training, Lin Hao," Captain Zhang said, his voice dripping with sarcasm, "but you're not qualified to question my authority. I've been doing this for years, and I know what it takes to be a good soldier."
Lin Hao's face remained expressionless, but his hand tightened around the grip of his rifle. He knew that Captain Zhang was trying to intimidate him, but he wouldn't back down.
"I'm not questioning your authority, Captain," Lin Hao said calmly. "I'm just pointing out that I've been observing your leadership, and I think there are some... inefficiencies that need to be addressed."
Captain Zhang's face turned an even deeper shade of red, and he slammed his fist on the table again. "That's enough, Lin Hao! You're just a rookie, and you don't know what you're talking about. I've been in this unit for years, and I know what it takes to get things done."
The room erupted into chaos, with the other soldiers arguing and shouting over each other. Lin Hao stood his ground, refusing to back down, and Captain Zhang's face turned purple with rage.
Suddenly, the door burst open, and a young officer rushed in. "Captain, we have a situation at the perimeter!" he exclaimed. "There's a group of armed men trying to breach the fence!"
Captain Zhang's expression changed in an instant, and he sprang into action. "Alright, let's move out!" he barked. "We need to secure that perimeter now!"
Lin Hao's eyes locked onto Captain Zhang's, and he saw a glimmer of something there - a hint of desperation, a flash of uncertainty. He knew that he had struck a nerve, and that Captain Zhang was not as sure of himself as he seemed.
As the soldiers rushed out of the room, Lin Hao fell into step beside Captain Zhang. "Captain, I think we should split up and cover more ground," he suggested.
Captain Zhang's expression turned cold, and he narrowed his eyes. "Why, Lin Hao? You think you're some kind of general or something?"
Lin Hao smiled grimly. "I'm just trying to get the job done, Captain. And I think that's what we're all here for."
The two of them led the charge, rushing out into the night, their rifles at the ready. But Lin Hao knew that this was just the beginning - the real conflict was only just beginning, and he was ready for it.
As they disappeared into the darkness, the soldiers back in the room looked at each other, some of them whispering nervously. "Did you see that, guys? Lin Hao just called out Captain Zhang's authority. This could get ugly..."
