**Chapter 67: The Crack of Doubt**

Lin Feng's senses were on high alert as he watched his teammates go through their paces during the team practice. The intensity was palpable, and the tension was almost suffocating. He couldn't help but wonder if he was the only one feeling this way.

Just as he was about to approach the coach, a faint whisper echoed in his mind. "You're not good enough." He spun around, but there was no one nearby. The voice was his own, and yet, it felt like someone else's.

"What's wrong, Lin Feng?" Coach Wang asked, his voice firm but concerned.

Lin Feng forced a smile. "Nothing, Coach. Just a bit tired, that's all."

Coach Wang nodded, his eyes narrowing slightly. "You need to work on your footwork. You're leaving too much space between you and the defender."

Lin Feng nodded, taking the advice to heart. He began to run drills, his movements precise and calculated. But as he did, the voice in his head persisted.

"You're not good enough. You're just a flash in the pan."

He snatched a glance at his teammates, but they seemed oblivious to his inner turmoil. Liang Chen, the team's star player, was laughing and joking with the others, his confidence bordering on arrogance.

Lin Feng's grip on the ball tightened, his knuckles white. He knew he couldn't let Liang Chen get to him, not now, not when they were so close to the championship.

But as the practice drew to a close, Lin Feng couldn't shake off the feeling of doubt that was creeping into his mind. He was no longer the same player he used to be. The pressure was getting to him, and he knew he needed to find a way to overcome it before it was too late.

As he walked off the court, he caught Liang Chen's gaze. For a moment, their eyes locked, and Lin Feng felt a surge of competitiveness ignite within him.

"You think you're better than me?" Lin Feng snarled, his voice low and menacing.

Liang Chen smirked. "I'm not saying that, but you're getting pretty close to being irrelevant."

Lin Feng's eyes narrowed. "You're just jealous because you can't keep up with me."

Liang Chen's smile faltered, and for a moment, Lin Feng saw a glimmer of uncertainty in his opponent's eyes.

The two teammates stood there, frozen in a silent standoff, as the rest of the team looked on. Coach Wang's voice cut through the tension.

"That's enough, boys. You're both team leaders, not adversaries."

But the damage was done. The seed of doubt had been planted, and Lin Feng knew he had to find a way to uproot it before it destroyed everything he had worked for.

As he walked off the court, he felt a cold dread creeping up his spine. The shadows of the past were closing in, and he knew he had to face them head-on if he wanted to emerge victorious.

But as he disappeared into the darkness, a faint whisper echoed in his mind.

"You're not good enough. You're just a flash in the pan."

And with that, the chapter came to a close, leaving Lin Feng and his teammates on the brink of a cliff, staring into the unknown, their fate hanging precariously in the balance.
