第113章 "Shadows of Deceit Revealed"

一念永恒

**Chapter 113: The Confrontation**

White Xiaopu's eyes never left the stranger's face, his mind racing with the revelation. "You're telling me that Ling'er is alive, and you're the one who knows where she is?" he repeated, his voice steady despite the turmoil brewing inside.

The stranger's expression turned dark, his eyes flashing with anger. "What do you want to know, Xiaopu? You've been searching for her for days, and now you're accusing me of knowing her whereabouts? Make your move, or get out of my sight!"

White Xiaopu's grip on his sword tightened, his palm itching for the familiar weight of the hilt. "I want to know why you're hiding something from me," he said, his voice firm. "We're supposed to be allies, and yet you're keeping secrets from me. What's going on, Liyun?"

Liyun's face twisted in a snarl. "You don't deserve to know! You're just a foolish little boy, playing at being a hero. You think you can take on the likes of me and come out on top? Ha! I've been playing this game for years, and you're just a pawn to be used and discarded."

A cold fury burned in White Xiaopu's chest. He had never been one to take kindly to being belittled, and Liyun's words were like a red rag to a bull. He took a step forward, his sword half-drawn.

"I'm not a pawn to be used and discarded," he spat. "I'm a cultivator, Liyun. And I won't be pushed around by someone like you."

Liyun sneered, drawing his own sword. "You think you're a cultivator? Ha! You're just a pretender, Xiaopu. A foolish little boy who's going to get himself killed if he's not careful."

The air was electric with tension as the two cultivators faced off, their swords locked in a precarious dance. White Xiaopu's mind was racing, trying to think of a way to get out of this situation without resorting to violence. But Liyun's words had cut deep, and he couldn't shake the feeling that he was walking into a trap.

Just as it seemed like the confrontation was about to escalate into a full-blown battle, a voice cut through the silence.

"Wait!"

The two cultivators froze, their eyes snapping towards the newcomer. It was a young woman, her hair a vibrant shade of blue, her eyes glowing with an otherworldly energy.

"What do you want, Qian?" Liyun growled, his hand tightening around his sword.

Qian's eyes locked onto Liyun, her gaze piercing. "I want to know what's going on here," she said, her voice cold and detached. "This isn't the first time I've seen you and Xiaopu at odds. What's really going on, Liyun?"

Liyun's expression turned dark, his eyes flashing with anger. "Mind your own business, Qian. This isn't any of your concern."

Qian's smile was cold and calculating. "Oh, but it is my concern," she said. "You see, I have a certain... interest in Ling'er. And if you're hiding something from Xiaopu, then I have a right to know."

White Xiaopu's eyes narrowed, his mind racing with the implications. What did Qian want with Ling'er? And why was she so interested in the mysterious woman?

As the tension between the three cultivators grew, White Xiaopu knew that he had to make a choice. Would he stand by Liyun and risk losing his chance to find Ling'er, or would he take a risk and join forces with Qian, the mysterious woman with the glowing blue hair? The choice was his, but the consequences would be far-reaching...
