**The 58th Chapter: The Confrontation Rages On**

Lemuel's words still echoing in the air, Nova's face twisted in a mixture of anger and hurt. "You lied to me," she spat, her voice low and venomous. "You said you'd help me take down the Triads, but it was all just a ruse to get me to trust you."

Lemuel's grip on the hilt of his sword tightened. He knew he had to tread carefully, but he couldn't deny the truth. "Nova, I—"

But Nova wasn't having it. She snatched her arm free and raised it, a blurring motion as she unleashed a kick that sent Lemuel crashing into the wall. The two of them stumbled backward, their feet scrabbling for traction on the slippery floor.

The Triads, realizing what was happening, began to close in. Lemuel's eyes darted between Nova and the gang members, his mind racing for a plan. He knew he couldn't take on both at once.

That's when he spotted it – a nearby console, its screen flickering with a message from the New Earth Federation. Lemuel's eyes locked onto it, his heart racing with excitement.

"Nova, listen to me!" he yelled, lunging forward to grab her arm. "We have to get out of here, now!"

Nova's eyes snapped toward him, her expression still twisted with anger. "What are you talking about?"

"The NEF has sent a message," Lemuel said, his voice urgent. "They're willing to offer us a deal – help them take down the Triads, and they'll give us the information we need to clear our names."

Nova's face faltered, her anger giving way to a glimmer of hope. "What do you mean?"

"We'll have to work together to take down the Triads," Lemuel said, his grip on her arm tightening. "But if we can do it, we'll be the ones calling the shots."

The two of them stood there, frozen, as the Triads closed in. Lemuel knew the stakes were higher than ever, but he was willing to take the risk. With the NEF on their side, they might just have a chance to clear their names and bring the Triads down once and for all.

And then, just as it seemed like the tide was turning in their favor, a blinding flash of light filled the room, and everything went silent. The Triads froze, their faces illuminating with alarm. Lemuel's eyes shot toward the source of the light, his heart pounding in his chest.
