第82章 第82章

铁血战王

**82章:「权力的选择」(The Choice of Power)**

The silence was palpable, heavy with the weight of uncertainty. Captain Zhang's gaze remained fixed on Lin Hao, as if willing him to surrender. But Lin Hao's determination only grew stronger, his eyes burning with a fierce resolve.

"You're asking me to betray my team, Captain," Lin Hao said, his voice low and even. "I won't do it."

Captain Zhang's face twisted in disgust. "You're not thinking about the team, Lin Hao. You're thinking about your own ambition. You want to be the one calling the shots, don't you?"

Lin Hao's jaw clenched in anger. "That's not true," he spat. "I'm thinking about what's right. I'm thinking about our mission, and what's best for the team."

Captain Zhang sneered. "You're so naive, Lin Hao. You think you're fighting for the greater good, but you're just fighting for yourself. You're a selfish little boy playing at being a soldier."

The room erupted into chaos. Soldiers began to argue, some siding with Captain Zhang, others with Lin Hao. The tension was almost unbearable, and it seemed as though the very fabric of the team was about to tear apart.

Suddenly, a loud bang echoed through the room, making everyone jump. It was the sound of the door bursting open, and in walked Major Li, his face stern and commanding.

"What's going on here?" he barked.

Captain Zhang and Lin Hao immediately snapped to attention, their faces frozen in identical expressions of discipline. But the other soldiers looked on, their eyes still wild with emotion.

Major Li's gaze swept the room, his eyes narrowing as he took in the scene. "It seems we have a problem," he said, his voice cold and detached. "A problem of loyalty, of power, and of trust."

He turned to Captain Zhang. "Captain, I think it's time we had a word. In private."

Captain Zhang nodded, and the two of them left the room, leaving the rest of the team to simmer in the aftermath of the confrontation.

As they disappeared into the hallway, Lin Hao turned to the others, his eyes flashing with determination. "We need to stick together," he said. "We need to trust each other, no matter what."

The other soldiers nodded, their faces set in determination. But as they looked at each other, they couldn't shake the feeling that the team was on the brink of collapse. And in the shadows, a third party watched, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

The outcome was far from certain, and the team's future hung precariously in the balance. But one thing was clear: the choice had been made, and the consequences would be dire.
