**63章:**「背旗而逃」 (Fleeing with the Flag)

Lin Hao's eyes never left the corridor as he whispered to himself, "I have to get out of here, I have to get back to Zhao Iron Army." He took a deep breath, trying to calm his racing heart, and slowly made his way back to the escape route.

As he turned the corner, he saw the mercenary leader, Yuan, standing in front of him, a cold smile spreading across his face. "You're quite the stubborn one, Lin Hao," Yuan sneered. "But your stubbornness will be your downfall."

Lin Hao gritted his teeth, his hands tightening into fists. "I'm not going to let you capture me alive," he snarled.

Yuan chuckled, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Oh, I think you will. You see, I've set up a little surprise for you."

Lin Hao's eyes darted around the corridor, trying to spot the trap. Suddenly, the lights flickered and the sound of gunfire echoed through the corridor. Lin Hao's heart skipped a beat as he realized that Yuan had set up a fake escape route, complete with fake mercenaries and fake gunfire.

"No!" Lin Hao roared, spinning around to face Yuan. "You're going to pay for this!"

Yuan laughed, pulling out a small pistol from his belt. "Oh, I think you'll find that this little surprise has a nice little bonus," he said, pointing the gun at Lin Hao.

Lin Hao's eyes widened as he realized that Yuan had planned this all along. He was trapped, and he was about to be executed.

Just as Yuan was about to pull the trigger, a loud explosion rocked the corridor, sending both men stumbling backward. Lin Hao's eyes widened as he saw Zhao Iron Army's logo emblazoned on the door, and a group of heavily armed soldiers stormed into the corridor, guns blazing.

"Take cover!" one of the soldiers yelled, diving behind a nearby pillar.

Lin Hao's eyes met Yuan's, and for a moment, they locked gazes. Then, Yuan's eyes widened in shock, and he tried to run, but it was too late. The soldiers had him surrounded, and Lin Hao watched as Yuan was dragged away, his fate sealed.

Lin Hao breathed a sigh of relief, his eyes scanning the corridor for any signs of danger. The soldiers approached him, their faces set in determined expressions. "You're coming with us, Lin Hao," one of them said, nodding. "We're taking you to safety."

Lin Hao nodded, a sense of relief washing over him. He was safe, but he knew that this was far from over. The battle was far from won, and Lin Hao knew that he would have to face even greater challenges ahead.

And as he was led away, he couldn't help but wonder what lay ahead, and what new dangers awaited him...
