**62章:**「临界的抉择」 (Critical Decision)
Lin Hao's eyes narrowed as he surveyed the corridor, his mind racing with every possible escape route. He had to get out of this place, or risk being trapped forever. But every path he considered led to a dead end.
"Captain, we're being surrounded!" one of his team members, Wang Wei, shouted, his voice laced with panic.
"We need to find a way out, now!" Lin Hao yelled back, his eyes scanning the corridor for any sign of weakness.
The mercenaries were closing in, their machine guns chatter growing louder with every passing second. Lin Hao knew they couldn't hold out for much longer.
Suddenly, a faint sound echoed down the corridor - the distant rumble of footsteps. Lin Hao's heart skipped a beat as he turned to Wang Wei.
"Is that... the backup team?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Wang Wei's eyes lit up with hope. "It's them, Captain! They must have received our distress signal!"
But as the footsteps drew closer, Lin Hao's optimism began to wane. What if it was a trap? What if the backup team was just as compromised as they were?
"Lieutenant, please hurry," Lin Hao called out, trying to keep his voice steady.
The footsteps grew louder, and Lin Hao could see the outline of a team of soldiers appearing at the end of the corridor. But as they drew closer, he noticed something was off - they were moving cautiously, their rifles at the ready.
"Wait!" Lin Hao shouted, his instincts screaming at him to be careful.
But it was too late. The soldiers had already rounded the corner, their eyes locking onto Lin Hao and his team.
"Whoa, easy does it, boys!" one of them called out, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "I think we've got the right guys here."
Lin Hao's heart dropped as he realized the truth - this was no backup team. They were the hunters, and he and his team were the prey.
"What do we do?" Wang Wei asked, his voice trembling with fear.
Lin Hao drew a deep breath, his mind racing with options. They were trapped, surrounded, and outnumbered. But he knew they couldn't give up now.
"We fight," he said, his voice firm and resolute. "We fight until we can escape."
The mercenaries, sensing victory, began to close in. But Lin Hao and his team stood their ground, ready to face whatever lay ahead.
As the battle raged on, Lin Hao's thoughts turned to the one person who could help them - Captain Yang. Where was he? Was he even alive?
And what lay in store for them in the next few minutes?
To be continued...
