铁血战王

**56章:激战的转折**

Lin Hao's breath was coming in ragged gasps as he peeked around the corner, his eyes locked on the mercenaries closing in. Zhao Jium's voice was a constant stream of orders, directing the team to flank and pin down the enemy.

"We need to get out of here, now!" Zhao Jium yelled, his rifle firing in controlled bursts.

Lin Hao's heart was racing, his training screaming at him to get into position. He popped out from behind the wall, his rifle blazing as he took aim at the mercenaries. Bullets whizzed past his head, and he ducked back behind the wall, his comms device crackling to life.

"This is Team Alpha, we need backup! We're taking heavy fire!"

Zhao Jium's voice was calm, but Lin Hao could sense the urgency. They were outnumbered and outgunned, and their position was precarious at best.

Suddenly, a burst of gunfire ripped through the corridor, and Lin Hao's heart sank. One of his teammates went down, and Zhao Jium cursed as he sprinted towards the fallen soldier.

"No! Not now!" Zhao Jium yelled, bullets whizzing past his head as he tried to drag the wounded man to safety.

Lin Hao's training took over, and he leapt out from behind the wall, his rifle firing in rapid succession. The mercenaries were closing in, their faces twisted with rage and hunger for battle.

In the chaos, Lin Hao spotted an opening. He sprinted towards Zhao Jium and the fallen soldier, his heart racing with adrenaline. He grabbed the wounded man's arm and pulled him to safety, just as a burst of gunfire ripped through the corridor.

The team regrouped, their position precarious but still intact. Zhao Jium's face was set in a hard mask, his eyes blazing with determination.

"We need to get out of here, now," he said, his voice low and deadly. "We're not going to make it if we stay here."

As one, the team fell back, their movements swift and silent. They retreated into the shadows, their eyes scanning the corridor for any sign of pursuit.

But as they moved, Lin Hao's senses tingled. Something was off. The mercenaries had retreated, but he could sense a new threat lurking in the shadows.

"What's going on, Captain?" Lin Hao asked, his voice low and urgent.

Zhao Jium's eyes locked onto his, his face set in a hard mask. "I don't know, but we need to be ready. We're not out of this yet."

As the team paused to catch their breath, Lin Hao's heart was already racing with anticipation. What new threat was lurking in the shadows? And how would they survive it?

The corridor stretched out before them, dark and foreboding. Lin Hao's grip on his rifle tightened, his senses on high alert. The battle was far from over.
