第48章 "Shadow in the Night"

铁血战王

**第48章:渴望的Thrill**

赵铁军的目光锐利地投向隔壁房间的门口。他看到一个人影,身着黑色的战斗服,武器 Triangle-shaped on his back。这人 presence immediately triggered Zhao Jium's instincts, and he signaled to his teammates to be on high alert.

" Enemy spotted!" he whispered to his teammates, his voice barely audible.

Lin Hao's eyes locked onto the man, his expression a mix of caution and curiosity. "What's his move?" he asked, his voice low and even.

Zhao Jium's eyes narrowed, his mind racing with possibilities. "Let's observe and wait for further developments," he said, his voice firm and decisive.

The two teams held their breath, watching the man's every move. He seemed to be studying the area, his eyes scanning the room with an air of caution.

Suddenly, he turned and walked towards the door, his pace slow and deliberate. Zhao Jium's instincts screamed at him to take action, but he held back, waiting for the right moment to strike.

"Lin Hao, get ready to take him down," he whispered, his voice barely audible.

Lin Hao nodded, his hand hovering over the handle of his gun. "Ready when you are, boss."

Just as Zhao Jium was about to give the signal, the man stopped dead in his tracks, his head cocked to one side as if he sensed something amiss. Zhao Jium's heart skipped a beat as he realized that the man had caught wind of their presence.

"Shh, he's onto us," he whispered, his voice low and urgent.

Lin Hao's eyes locked onto Zhao Jium's, his expression a mix of confusion and alarm. "What do we do now?" he asked, his voice trembling slightly.

Zhao Jium's eyes narrowed, his mind racing with possibilities. "We need to get out of here, and fast," he said, his voice firm and decisive.

But it was too late. The man had already spun around, his eyes locked onto the two teams with a cold, calculating gaze. Zhao Jium and Lin Hao exchanged a glance, their hearts pounding in their chests as they realized that they were cornered, with no way to escape.

And then, just as all hope seemed lost, the man spoke, his voice low and menacing. "You shouldn't have come here," he said, his eyes glinting with a sinister light.

Zhao Jium's blood ran cold as he realized that they were facing a ruthless killer, one who would stop at nothing to eliminate them. The game had just gotten a lot more deadly, and Zhao Jium knew that he had to think fast if he wanted to survive.

But as he turned to give the order to retreat, he found that his comrades were nowhere to be seen. The silence was oppressive, the only sound the echo of their own ragged breathing.

"Where are they?" Lin Hao whispered, his voice trembling with fear.

Zhao Jium's eyes scanned the room, his heart racing with panic. And then, he saw it - a faint light flickering in the corner of his eye. It was the signal, the signal that their comrades had made it out safely.

But as Zhao Jium turned to make his way towards the light, he felt a hand grab his arm, yanking him back into the shadows.

"Not so fast," the man said, his voice low and menacing. "You're not going anywhere."

And with that, the darkness closed in, leaving Zhao Jium and Lin Hao trapped, with no way to escape.
