第154章 「黑暗的旗帜」(Flag of Darkness)

铁血战王

**154章:「暗夜的疑惑」(Midnight's Doubt)**

Zhao Ti's eyes scanned the dark sky, his vision blurry from exhaustion. He could hardly believe they had made it this far. The enemy was closing in, their cries and gunfire growing louder.

"Ti, we can't hold out much longer," Wang Lei whispered, her voice trembling. "We need to fall back and regroup."

Zhao Ti nodded, his throat dry. "Agreed. But we can't retreat just yet. We have to keep them occupied until dawn."

He stood up, his legs trembling beneath him. The others followed, their faces gaunt and worn.

As they retreated, the enemy pursued, relentless in their pursuit. Zhao Ti's team dodged and weaved, trying to shake them off their tail. But the enemy was too well-coordinated, and soon they found themselves surrounded.

"Last stand, everyone!" Zhao Ti yelled, his voice hoarse. "Let's take them down together!"

The team charged forward, guns blazing, but the enemy was too strong. One by one, they began to fall, until only Zhao Ti and Wang Lei were left.

"Ti, run!" Wang Lei screamed, as a bullet whizzed past her ear. "Leave me, go!"

Zhao Ti hesitated, his heart racing. He knew he had to get out of there, but he couldn't abandon his friend.

"No way," he snarled, grabbing Wang Lei's arm. "We're getting out of this together."

Together, they made a dash for the treeline, bullets whizzing past their heads. Zhao Ti could feel the fear coursing through his veins, but he refused to give up.

As they reached the trees, they collapsed, gasping for air. Zhao Ti's ears rang, his body numb and bruised. But he knew they couldn't stay there. They had to keep moving.

"Lei, can you hear me?" he whispered, shaking her gently.

Wang Lei's eyes flickered open, her face ashen. "Ti...I think so..."

Zhao Ti's heart sank. They were both badly hurt, and they had no idea where they were or where they were going.

"But we can't give up now," he said, his voice firm. "We have to keep moving. We have to make it back to base."

Wang Lei nodded, her eyes glazing over. "Y-yes...we have to..."

As Zhao Ti helped her to her feet, he couldn't shake the feeling of unease growing in his stomach. They had made it out of the fight alive, but at what cost? And what lay ahead, waiting for them in the darkness?

The chapter ended with a cliffhanger, leaving the reader wondering what would happen next to Zhao Ti and his team. Would they make it back to base, or would they be captured or killed by the enemy? The uncertainty was palpable, and the reader was left eagerly anticipating the next chapter to find out.
