**149章:「暗夜的败局」(Midnight's Turning Point)**

As the battle raged on, Zhao Ti's team began to tire. They had been fighting for hours, and their supply of ammunition was running low. The enemy, on the other hand, seemed to be gaining strength, their numbers swelling as reinforcements arrived.

Zhao Ti knew they couldn't keep this up for much longer. "Fall back!" he yelled, ordering his team to retreat to a safer distance.

But it was too late. The enemy had already overrun their position, and Zhao Ti's team was surrounded. The leader of the enemy forces, a burly man with a scar above his left eyebrow, sneered at Zhao Ti.

"You're a clever one, aren't you, Ti?" he spat. "But you're no match for us. Surrender now, and we might let you live."

Zhao Ti's eyes narrowed. "Never," he spat back.

The enemy leader snarled, baring his teeth. "Fine. We'll finish this the easy way then."

The enemy closed in, their guns blazing. Zhao Ti's team fought desperately, but they were vastly outnumbered. Zhao Ti himself was hit, a bullet grazing his cheekbone as he ducked behind a nearby rock.

He peered out, his vision blurry from the pain and the smoke. The enemy was closing in, and he knew they were doomed.

Just as all hope seemed lost, a loud explosion rocked the ground. The enemy recoiled, covering their ears as a hail of bullets rained down on them.

Zhao Ti's eyes widened as he stared at the newcomer. It was Liang Wei, their comrade who had gone missing earlier. He was armed to the teeth, and a wicked grin spread across his face as he surveyed the battlefield.

"Time to even the score, my friends," he said, his voice dripping with malice.

The enemy, already battered and bruised, recoiled in terror as Liang Wei charged forward, his guns blazing. Zhao Ti's team, emboldened by their comrade's arrival, launched a fierce counterattack.

The battle raged on, with both sides trading blows in a frenzy of gunfire and explosions. But for the first time, Zhao Ti felt a glimmer of hope. With Liang Wei on their side, they might just pull off a miracle.

As the fight continued, Zhao Ti's thoughts were interrupted by a loud shout. "Zhao Ti, get back here!"

He turned to see Liang Wei, his face twisted in a snarl, as he charged towards him. "What's going on?" Zhao Ti yelled, half-turning to face him.

But Liang Wei didn't answer. Instead, he grabbed Zhao Ti's arm, dragging him backwards as the enemy closed in.

The last thing Zhao Ti saw was Liang Wei's face, his eyes blazing with a fierce intensity. Then everything went black.

To be continued...
