第138章 "Darkness Rises"

**138章：「权力的游戏，权力之战—暗夜的烈火」(The Game of Power, Battle for Power—Midnight Inferno)**

As they moved out, Zhao Ti's instincts screamed at him to stay low and quiet. He knew that the enemy was closing in, and their lives depended on remaining undetected. But it was hard to keep his adrenaline in check as the sounds of gunfire and explosions echoed through the darkness.

"Move, move, move!" he hissed, his voice low and urgent. "We need to find cover before they flank us!"

His team scrambled to follow his lead, their footsteps light and quick as they dodged through the wreckage-strewn streets. Zhao Ti's eyes darted back and forth, scanning the horizon for any sign of the enemy.

Suddenly, a burst of machine gun fire ripped through the air, sending them all scrambling for cover. Zhao Ti yanked his team behind a crumbling wall, his heart pounding in his chest.

"What's going on?" one of his teammates whispered, his voice trembling with fear.

"Shh," Zhao Ti ordered, his eyes never leaving the darkness beyond their shelter. "Wait for my signal."

The silence was oppressive, heavy with danger. Zhao Ti's senses were on high alert, his ears straining to pick up any sound that might mean the enemy was closing in.

And then, just as he was starting to think they were clear, a figure emerged from the shadows. Zhao Ti's hand instinctively went to his gun, his finger tightening around the trigger.

But as the figure stepped closer, he saw that it was a woman, her face pale and her eyes wide with fear. "Please," she whispered, her voice barely audible. "Help me. My husband...he's been taken by the enemy. I need to get to him before it's too late."

Zhao Ti's gaze snapped to her, his mind racing with the implications. This was it – the break they needed to turn the tide of the battle. "Alright," he whispered back, his voice low and urgent. "Follow me. We'll get your husband back, or die trying."

The woman nodded, her eyes burning with determination. Together, they set off into the night, the darkness swallowing them whole as they plunged into the heart of the inferno.

As they disappeared into the shadows, Zhao Ti's team stood frozen, their eyes locked onto the spot where their leader had vanished. They knew that he had made a decision that would change the course of their lives forever.
