Zhao Ti's eyes never left the map as he barked out orders to his team. "Alright, let's move! We need to get out of here before those mercenaries catch up to us!"

The team sprang into action, their movements swift and silent as they navigated the dark jungle terrain. Zhao Ti's mind was racing with the possibilities, his gut telling him that they were being herded towards a trap.

"Commander, we've got heat signatures ahead!" one of the team members whispered urgently.

Zhao Ti's grip on his rifle tightened. "Get ready to take cover. We can't let them get the drop on us!"

The team fanned out, forming a circle around Zhao Ti as they prepared for an ambush. The air was heavy with tension as they waited for the mercenaries to make their move.

Suddenly, a burst of gunfire erupted from the darkness, sending the team scrambling for cover. Zhao Ti's team returned fire, their rifles punching holes in the night as they fought to hold off the enemy.

But there were too many of them. The mercenaries seemed to appear out of nowhere, their armor-clad bodies moving like shadows as they pressed the attack.

Zhao Ti's team was taking heavy casualties, their numbers dwindling with each passing moment. The commander's eyes locked onto the map, his mind racing with a desperate plan.

"We need to fall back!" he yelled above the din of gunfire. "We can't hold this position!"

The team pulled back, their retreat a chaotic mess of yelling and gunfire. Zhao Ti's eyes burned with frustration as he realized they had fallen into a trap.

And then, just as they thought they were clear, a massive explosion rocked the night air, sending them stumbling backward. The jungle erupted into chaos as the mercenaries unleashed a wave of rockets and gunfire, their targets the fleeing team.

Zhao Ti's team was in full retreat, their survival hanging by a thread. The commander's eyes locked onto the map once more, his mind racing with a single thought: escape.

But as they stumbled through the darkness, he couldn't shake the feeling that they were being herded towards a fate worse than death...
