第104章 "隐藏的敌人" (Hidden Enemy)

铁血战王

**104章:「权力的游戏,权力之战—暗夜的觉醒」(The Game of Power, Battle for Power—Midnight Awakening)**

Zhao Tianxiong's eyes didn't waver, his expression a mask of calmness. "I don't understand what you're implying, Captain Zhang," he said, his voice steady.

Captain Zhang's gaze didn't falter, his eyes still piercing through Zhao's defenses. "Don't play dumb, Zhao. I know you're hiding something. Someone in the unit is feeding information to the enemy, and I suspect it's one of your closest friends."

Zhao's heart skipped a beat. He knew that Captain Zhang had been suspicious of him for some time, but he had never thought that the captain would accuse him of being a traitor. He forced himself to remain calm, to think clearly. "I don't know what you're talking about, Captain. I've been loyal to the unit all along."

Captain Zhang snorted. "Loyal? You've been acting strange lately, Zhao. You're always disappearing during missions, and when you're not, you're distant and distracted. I know you're hiding something. And I know it's not just because of your injury."

Zhao's mind raced. Who could have betrayed their trust? He thought back to the past few missions, trying to remember any suspicious behavior. And then, it hit him – Wang Zhe, his closest friend and comrade, had been acting strangely during the last mission. He had seemed nervous and jumpy, and Zhao had written it off as nerves, but now he wasn't so sure.

"I think I know what's going on, Captain," Zhao said slowly, his heart pounding in his chest.

Captain Zhang raised an eyebrow. "Go on."

"It's Wang Zhe," Zhao said, his voice barely above a whisper. "He's been acting strange lately. I think he might be the one feeding information to the enemy."

Captain Zhang's expression didn't change, but Zhao could see the tension in his body increase. "I knew it," he muttered. "I knew it was one of you two. Get out of my sight, Zhao. I'll deal with Wang Zhe personally."

Zhao felt a cold sweat trickle down his spine. He knew that he had to act fast, to protect his friends and his unit. He turned to leave, but as he did, he heard Captain Zhang's voice behind him.

"Zhao, wait. You're not off the hook yet. I want you to stay in your quarters and think about your loyalty. If I find out you're involved in this betrayal, you'll regret ever crossing me."

Zhao nodded, feeling a sense of dread creeping over him. He knew that he had to be careful, that he couldn't trust anyone. But he also knew that he had to protect his friends, and that meant taking a risk.

As he walked back to his quarters, Zhao couldn't shake the feeling that he was being watched. He glanced around the darkened hallway, but saw nothing out of the ordinary. Still, the feeling persisted, and he knew that he had to be vigilant.

Little did he know, this was only the beginning of a dark and treacherous journey, one that would test his loyalty, his courage, and his very soul. The game of power was far from over, and the stakes were about to get much higher.
