第103章 "Midnight Betrayal"

铁血战王

**103章:「权力的游戏,权力之战—暗夜的觉醒」(The Game of Power, Battle for Power—Midnight Awakening)**

Zhao Tianxiong's eyes locked onto Captain Zhang's, his heart racing with uncertainty. He knew he had to think quickly to defuse the situation. "Sir, I understand your concerns, but I assure you, my loyalty lies with the team and the country," he said, his voice firm but measured.

Captain Zhang's gaze didn't waver, his expression unyielding. "Save the speeches, Zhao. I want to know what's going on. Who's behind these mysterious messages?"

Zhao Tianxiong hesitated, his mind racing with the consequences of revealing the truth. He knew that if he told Captain Zhang about the encrypted messages, he might be putting himself and the team at risk. But if he didn't, he risked being branded a traitor.

Just as Zhao Tianxiong was about to respond, the door burst open, and a young lieutenant, Lin Feng, rushed in. "Captain, we've received a distress call from HQ. It seems there's been a security breach at the base's communication center."

Captain Zhang's expression turned grim. "What kind of breach?"

Lin Feng's face paled. "Someone has hacked into our system and is transmitting classified information to an unknown location. We need to act fast to contain the damage."

Zhao Tianxiong's eyes met Captain Zhang's, and for a moment, they seemed to share a silent understanding. Then, without a word, Captain Zhang turned to Lin Feng and barked, "Get the team assembled. We'll sort this out."

As Captain Zhang and Lin Feng rushed off to take command of the situation, Zhao Tianxiong was left standing alone, the weight of the encrypted messages and the looming threat of the security breach settling heavy on his shoulders.

"Who's behind this?" he whispered to himself, his eyes scanning the darkened room.

Suddenly, a faint whisper echoed in his ear, "The game is far from over, Zhao Tianxiong. The real winner is yet to be revealed."

Zhao Tianxiong spun around, but there was no one there. The whisper seemed to come from all around him, sending shivers down his spine. He knew that he was just a pawn in a much larger game, and the stakes were higher than ever.

As he turned to leave, he couldn't shake off the feeling that his path was about to cross with that of the mysterious figure, and the outcome would be far from certain.
