第135章 " Eye of the Tempest"

**Chapter 135: The Eye of the Storm - The Storm's Fury**
The city's residents were still on high alert, expecting another storm to hit at any moment. But what they didn't know was that the real storm was yet to come.
"Commander Qin, we've received a distress call from the outskirts of the city," his chief strategist, Mu Qing, reported, his eyes fixed on Qin Wen's calm face.
"Let's take a look," Qin Wen replied, already knowing what he would find. He had been sensing a strange energy building up on the periphery of the city for hours.
As they approached the area, they could see that a massive vortex had formed, its edges pulsating with dark energy. Qin Wen's instincts told him that this was no ordinary tempest.
"What in the world is this?" Mu Qing asked, staring at the swirling vortex in awe.
"It's a portal," Qin Wen said, his eyes narrowing. "And it's not natural."
Suddenly, a figure emerged from the vortex. He was tall and gaunt, his face twisted into a cruel grin.
"Welcome, Qin Wen," the stranger said, his voice dripping with malevolence. "I've been waiting for you."
Qin Wen's grip on his sword tightened. "Who are you, and what do you want?"
The stranger chuckled. "I am Hei Tian, the master of the dark arts. And I've come to collect a debt."
Qin Wen's eyes flashed with anger. "You're the one who's been manipulating the weather, aren't you? Using your dark magic to wreak havoc on the city."
Hei Tian's grin grew wider. "You're perceptive, Qin Wen. But you're also no match for me. I've been preparing for this moment for years."
Mu Qing stepped forward, his hand on the hilt of his sword. "We won't let you harm the city, Hei Tian. We'll stop you no matter what it takes."
Hei Tian laughed again. "You're no match for me, Mu Qing. But don't worry, I'll make sure you're the first to know when the real storm hits."
With that, Hei Tian vanished into the vortex, leaving Qin Wen and Mu Qing staring at each other in confusion.
"What did he mean?" Mu Qing asked, his brow furrowed.
Qin Wen's eyes remained fixed on the portal. "I think we're about to find out."
And with that, the three of them charged towards the vortex, ready to face whatever storm was brewing on the other side.
