**Chapter 134: The Eye of the Storm - The Calm Before the Storm**
The city's residents were still trying to wrap their heads around the events that had transpired. The storm had been intense, and the destruction was staggering. But as they began to rebuild and pick up the pieces, a sense of unease settled over them.
"Why did the storm target us?" a resident asked, her voice laced with worry.
"It's like we're cursed," another resident replied, shaking his head.
Quan Wen, the young man who had been at the eye of the storm, stood tall amidst the chaos. His eyes were fixed on the horizon, his mind racing with thoughts of what had just happened.
"I saw something," he said, his voice low and serious. "Something that shouldn't be."
"What did you see?" a group of curious onlookers asked.
Quan Wen hesitated, unsure of how to explain. "I saw...I saw the wind itself. It was as if it had a life of its own. And it seemed to be calling to me."
The onlookers exchanged skeptical glances. "That's just crazy talk," one of them said. "You must have hit your head during the storm."
But Quan Wen knew what he had seen. And he knew that it was more than just his imagination.
As the sun began to set, Quan Wen decided to pay a visit to the city's resident expert on the supernatural, an old man named Liu. Liu was a mystic who claimed to have the power to communicate with the spirits of the dead.
"I need your help, Liu," Quan Wen said, as they sat down in the old man's cramped study. "I saw something during the storm. Something that shouldn't be."
Liu's eyes lit up with interest. "Tell me more," he said.
Quan Wen told Liu about the wind, about the way it had seemed to have a life of its own. Liu listened intently, his eyes never leaving Quan Wen's face.
"I think I know what you're talking about," Liu said, when Quan Wen finished speaking. "I think you've stumbled upon something...something big."
"What do you mean?" Quan Wen asked, his heart racing with anticipation.
Liu leaned forward. "I think the storm was just the beginning," he said. "And I think you're the key to unlocking whatever is coming next."
Quan Wen's eyes narrowed. "What are you talking about?"
But Liu just smiled. "Let's just say that I have a feeling that the real storm is yet to come," he said. "And I think you're going to be right at the center of it."
As Quan Wen left Liu's study, he couldn't shake the feeling that the old man was right. The storm had been intense, but he had a feeling that it was just the beginning. And he knew that he was in for a wild ride.
But what lay ahead? Only time would tell.
