第125章 "Deceit Unraveled"

**Chapter 125: The Web of Lies**

程星's eyes narrowed, his jaw clenched as he searched for the right words to defend himself. "You're just trying to pin this on me because you're jealous of my talent," he spat, his voice trembling with rage.

The engineer's expression remained unchanged, but his voice was laced with venom. "Jealous? You think I'm jealous of your mediocrity? You're just a pawn in a much larger game, 程星, and you're playing with fire."

程星's face burned with anger, but he refused to back down. "I'm not a pawn, and I'm not playing with fire. I'm trying to uncover the truth, and you're just trying to silence me."

The engineer sneered. "The truth? You want to know the truth? The truth is that you're a nobody, a small fish in a vast ocean. You're not worthy of playing with the big boys, and you're certainly not worthy of keeping the secrets that we're working on."

程星's anger boiled over, and he slammed his fist onto the table. "How dare you! I've dedicated my life to science, and I've earned my place at this table. I won't be silenced by your tantrums and lies."

The engineer's eyes glinted, and he smiled coldly. "We'll see about that. You may have a degree, but you don't have the brains or the guts to handle the kind of secrets we're dealing with. You're just a liability, a threat to everything we're trying to achieve."

程星's face paled, and he felt a cold dread creeping up his spine. The engineer's words were like a knife, cutting deep into his psyche. Was he truly just a pawn in a game he didn't understand?

As he sat there, frozen in shock, he heard the sound of footsteps outside the room. The door burst open, and a group of engineers rushed in, their faces grave.

"What's going on?" one of them asked, his voice urgent.

The engineer's smile grew wider. "It seems we have a problem. Someone has hacked into our system, and they're spreading classified information like confetti."

程星's heart sank. He knew he had to act fast, but he had no idea what was happening or who was behind it. He looked around the room, but the engineer's eyes seemed to bore into him, accusing him of being the traitor.

As the engineers scrambled to contain the damage, 程星 knew that his world was about to come crashing down. He was trapped in a web of lies and deception, and he had no idea how to escape.
