**Chapter 49: The Plan Unfolds**
Lin Feng sat on his couch, his eyes fixed on the TV as he replayed the highlights of the game in his mind. He couldn't believe he had let Jaxon get the better of him again. The defeat still lingered in his thoughts, like a festering wound that refused to heal.
Just then, his phone rang, breaking the silence. He picked it up, expecting it to be his teammate or coach, but instead, it was his agent, Old Man Wang.
"Lin Feng, I have some good news and some bad news," Old Man Wang said, his voice grave.
"What is it?" Lin Feng asked, his curiosity piqued.
"The good news is that the NBA scouts have been watching you, and they're impressed with your skills. They're willing to offer you a contract," Old Man Wang said, his tone optimistic.
Lin Feng's eyes lit up with excitement. He had always dreamed of playing in the NBA, and now it seemed like it was within his grasp.
"But the bad news is that Jaxon has also been approached by the same team," Old Man Wang said, his voice dripping with concern.
Lin Feng's eyes narrowed. "What? Why would they do that?"
"Because Jaxon is a superior player, Lin Feng. He has the skills and the talent to shine at the top level. And the team wants him more than they want you," Old Man Wang said, his words like a dagger to Lin Feng's heart.
Lin Feng's face twisted in anger. "I won't let him have it. I'll make sure he knows that I'm not going to let him take my spot without a fight."
Old Man Wang sighed. "Lin Feng, you need to calm down and think this through. You can't let your emotions cloud your judgment. We need to come up with a plan to make you the top choice for the team."
Lin Feng's eyes flashed with determination. "I've got a plan, Old Man Wang. And it's going to be a game-changer."
As he hung up the phone, Lin Feng's mind was racing with ideas. He knew that he had to do something drastic to outshine Jaxon and prove himself as the better player.
Little did he know, Jaxon was already one step ahead, plotting his next move to take down Lin Feng and claim the contract for himself.
The battle for the NBA contract had just begun, and only one man could emerge victorious. The question was, who would it be?
