**Chapter 42: The Reckoning's Aftermath**

Jaxon's eyes still blazed with fury as he stormed out of the empty hall, his mind reeling with the weight of Lin Feng's betrayal. He had never felt such a deep sense of hurt and anger before. How could Lin Feng, his teammate, his friend, do this to him?

As he walked back to his dorm, Jaxon couldn't help but think about the past. They had been teammates for three years, and he had always trusted Lin Feng with his life. But now, it seemed like that trust had been shattered.

When he arrived at his dorm, Jaxon's roommate, Alex, was sitting on his bed, playing with his phone. "Hey, man, what's wrong?" Alex asked, noticing Jaxon's troubled expression.

Jaxon took a deep breath before recounting the events of the day. Alex listened intently, his eyes widening with shock. "Dude, are you serious? Lin Feng betrayed you?"

Jaxon nodded, his anger simmering just below the surface. "He's been playing us all along. I don't know how I didn't see it coming."

Alex sighed. "We need to talk to the coach. He needs to know what's going on."

Jaxon nodded, feeling a sense of resolve wash over him. "Let's do it. We can't let Lin Feng get away with this."

The two friends headed to the coach's office, determined to set the record straight. But as they arrived, they were met with an unexpected surprise. Coach Wang was sitting with Lin Feng, a look of disappointment on his face.

"Jaxon, Alex, what's going on?" Coach Wang asked, his voice firm but controlled.

Jaxon took a deep breath before launching into the story of Lin Feng's betrayal. Coach Wang listened attentively, his expression growing increasingly dark.

When Jaxon finished, Coach Wang turned to Lin Feng. "You're done, Lin Feng. You're off the team."

Lin Feng's face fell, but Jaxon just felt a wave of relief wash over him. It was over. The betrayal was finally out in the open.

But as they were leaving the office, Jaxon received a mysterious text message. "Meet me in the park at midnight. Come alone."

Jaxon's heart skipped a beat as he looked at the message. Who was behind this? And what did they want?

He looked at Alex, who was watching him with concern. "Who's behind this?" he asked.

Jaxon shook his head. "I don't know, but I'm going to find out."
