**Chapter 129: The Devil's Price**
Lin Feng's eyes locked onto Wen Xiyue's, his mind racing with the implications of their agreement. "So, what's the catch?" he asked, his tone laced with skepticism.
Wen Xiyue's smile grew wider, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Ah, you're worried about the price, I see. Well, let me assure you, it's a small one to pay for the gift I'm about to bestow upon you."
Lin Feng's gut twisted with unease. He didn't like the feeling of being in Wen Xiyue's debt, but he was willing to do whatever it took to get back on the court. "What do you want me to do?" he asked, his voice firm.
Wen Xiyue leaned back in his chair, steepling his fingers together. "I want you to win. Not just win, but dominate. Crush your opponents beneath your feet. Make them tremble at the mere mention of your name."
Lin Feng's eyes narrowed. "What kind of win are you talking about? I'm a high school student, not a professional."
Wen Xiyue's smile grew even wider. "Oh, but you will be. And when you are, I want you to be the best. The greatest basketball player the world has ever seen. And I'll be right there, pulling the strings from behind the scenes."
Lin Feng's skin crawled at the thought. He didn't like being controlled, and he certainly didn't like the idea of being manipulated by Wen Xiyue. "And what do I get out of this deal?" he asked, trying to keep his tone neutral.
Wen Xiyue's eyes sparked with excitement. "Ah, the rewards are plentiful. You'll get to experience the thrill of victory, the roar of the crowd, and the admiration of your peers. And, of course, you'll get to exact your revenge on the team that wronged you in your previous life."
Lin Feng's heart skipped a beat at the mention of his past. He had always wondered what would have happened if he had gotten a second chance, and now he had the opportunity to find out. But at what cost?
As he sat there, weighing his options, Lin Feng felt a presence behind him. He turned to see his best friend, Xu Chen, standing in the doorway, his eyes scanning the room with a mixture of curiosity and concern.
"What's going on?" Xu Chen asked, his voice low.
Lin Feng hesitated, unsure of how much to reveal. But before he could answer, Wen Xiyue spoke up.
"Ah, Xu Chen. Excellent timing. I was just about to explain the terms of our agreement to Lin Feng."
Xu Chen's eyes narrowed. "What agreement?"
Wen Xiyue's smile grew even wider. "Ah, but that would be telling. Let's just say that Lin Feng has made a deal with the devil, and now he's willing to do whatever it takes to become the best basketball player in the world."
Xu Chen's face fell, and Lin Feng knew he was in trouble. He had to think fast, or risk losing everything he had worked for. And he still had no idea what the devil's price would be...
