第121章 "The Shadow Player's Bluff"

都市之最强狂兵

**Chapter 121: The Game of Shadows (Part 12)**

Xiao Zhan's gaze never wavered, his eyes burning with an intensity that made Lin Feng's skin crawl. "You're a pawn, and I'm the one controlling the game," he repeated, his voice dripping with condescension.

Lin Feng's smile never faltered, but his eyes flashed with anger. "You're so sure of yourself, aren't you?" he said, his voice low and menacing. "But you're forgetting one thing – the game is never over until the last piece is removed from the board."

Xiao Zhan's eyes narrowed, his grip on the chess piece tightening. "You're trying to provoke me, aren't you?" he growled. "Well, it won't work. I'm not going to fall for your tricks."

Lin Feng's eyes glinted with amusement. "Oh, I think you will," he said, his voice dripping with confidence. "You see, I know a secret that will turn the game on its head."

Xiao Zhan's eyes snapped back to Lin Feng's face, his expression unreadable. "What secret?" he demanded.

Lin Feng's smile grew wider. "The real player behind the scenes is not who you think it is," he said, his voice dripping with drama. "It's not me, and it's not you. It's someone who's been pulling the strings from the shadows all along."

Xiao Zhan's eyes flashed with anger, his grip on the chess piece tightening. "Who?" he demanded.

Lin Feng's smile never wavered. "That's for me to know and for you to find out," he said, his voice dripping with mystery.

As the two men locked eyes, the air seemed to crackle with tension. Xiao Zhan's face was a mask of fury, while Lin Feng's eyes sparkled with mischief. The game was far from over, and it was going to get a lot more complicated before it was finished.

Just as it seemed like the tension was going to break, a loud noise echoed through the room, making both men jump. The sound was like nothing they had ever heard before – a low, rumbling growl that seemed to come from the very depths of the earth.

The two men exchanged a look of shock, and then their eyes turned to the door. It was slowly opening, revealing a figure that made their blood run cold.

"Who are you?" Xiao Zhan demanded, his voice low and menacing.

The figure stepped forward, its eyes glowing with an otherworldly light. "I'm the one who's been waiting in the shadows," it said, its voice dripping with menace. "And I'm the one who's going to change the game forever."

As the figure's eyes locked onto Lin Feng's, Xiao Zhan knew that the game was far from over. In fact, it was just beginning. And he was ready to play.

To be continued...
