第161章 "Betrayal's Bitter Taste"

谍影风云

**Chapter 161: "The Traitor's Confession"**

I seethed with anger, my mind racing with the possibility that Rachel had been playing me all along. "You were the one who betrayed me, weren't you?" I growled, my finger still on the trigger.

Rachel's expression remained unreadable, but her voice was laced with a hint of sarcasm. "Oh, please, Lin. You're not even a good liar. I'm not the one who's been playing both sides."

I narrowed my eyes, my grip on the gun tightening. "What are you talking about?"

Rachel smiled, a cold, calculated smile. "I know about your little deal with Night Raven. I know you've been working with him to take down our organization from the inside."

My heart sank like a stone. How did she know? I thought I'd covered my tracks perfectly. "How... how did you find out?" I stammered, trying to keep my cool.

Rachel chuckled, a dry, mocking sound. "Let's just say I have my ways. And now, I'm here to collect my payment."

I felt a wave of panic wash over me. I couldn't let her get away with this. I had to think fast, come up with a plan to turn the tables. I took a deep breath, trying to calm down. "Rachel, please... don't do this. We can still work together, make a difference..."

Rachel laughed again, her eyes glinting with amusement. "You really are pathetic, Lin. You think I care about your precious organization? I'm only here for one reason: to take out Night Raven."

My heart skipped a beat. So, she was working for someone else. Someone who wanted to take out Night Raven. But who? And why? I had to get out of here, get the truth. I took a step back, eyes locked on Rachel. "You're not going anywhere. Not until I get some answers."

Rachel's smile widened, her eyes flashing with excitement. "Oh, I think I will. And I'll make sure you're the one who's left holding the bag."

With that, she pulled out a small device from her pocket and pressed a button. The room filled with the sound of sirens, and I knew I was in trouble. I had to act fast, or risk being caught and exposes my true identity. I took a deep breath, my eyes locked on Rachel. "You're making a big mistake, Rachel. A very big mistake."

And with that, I made my move, dashing towards the door, determined to escape and uncover the truth behind Rachel's betrayal. But as I turned the corner, I was met with a surprise that would change everything...
