诸天万界之旅
**Chapter 54: The Whispering Winds (Part 3)**
Lin Yuan's eyes snapped back to the present, his mind reeling from the revelations he had uncovered. The whispering winds outside had reached a deafening roar, and he could feel the pressure building inside him.
"Enough!" he shouted, slamming his fist onto the mirror. "I've had enough of this riddle!"
The mirror seemed to shudder, and the whispering winds died down, as if the mirror had been the source of the din. Lin Yuan's reflection gazed back at him, its calmness still unnerving.
"What do you want from me?" Lin Yuan demanded, his voice growing angrier.
The mirror remained silent, but Lin Yuan could sense a faint hum emanating from it. Suddenly, the glass surface began to ripple, like the surface of a pond disturbed by a stone.
"What's going on?" Lin Yuan whispered, his eyes fixed on the mirror.
A figure began to take shape within the rippling glass. It was a woman, her features pale and gaunt, her eyes sunken with a deep sadness.
Lin Yuan felt a shiver run down his spine. Who was this ghostly figure?
"Who are you?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
The woman's eyes locked onto his, and Lin Yuan felt a pang of recognition. He had seen those eyes before, in his dreams, in his visions.
"You know me," she said, her voice barely audible over the whispering winds.
"I... I don't know," Lin Yuan stammered. "But you look familiar."
The woman's gaze seemed to bore into his soul. "I am your destiny," she whispered. "And you are mine."
Lin Yuan's mind reeled as the woman's words sank in. What did she mean? Was she talking about his fate, his future?
The mirror's surface continued to ripple, and the woman's figure began to fade away.
"No, wait!" Lin Yuan shouted, reaching out to grab her. "What do you mean?"
The woman's eyes flashed with a hint of warning, and then she was gone, leaving behind only a faint whisper on the winds.
Lin Yuan's reflection gazed back at him, its calmness now replaced with a hint of concern.
"What have I gotten myself into?" Lin Yuan whispered, his eyes fixed on the mirror.
The whispering winds outside seemed to grow louder, as if echoing his own doubts and fears. And in that moment, Lin Yuan knew that he was no longer alone in this journey. The mirror, the ghostly woman, and the whispering winds had all become a part of his destiny, drawing him deeper into the mysteries of the multiverse.
