Lin Yuan's eyes were fixed on the ancient symbols, his mind racing with the secrets they held. The whispers had grown louder, urging him deeper into the hidden chamber. As he reached out to touch the wall, a sudden gust of wind extinguished the torches, plunging the room into darkness.

"What the...?" Lin Yuan muttered, his hand hovering in mid-air. He stumbled backward, tripping over his own feet. The whispers ceased, replaced by an unsettling silence.

Just as he regained his footing, a faint light flickered to life, illuminating the chamber. Lin Yuan blinked, his eyes adjusting to the sudden brightness. A figure stood before him, shrouded in shadows.

"Who are you?" Lin Yuan demanded, his hand on the hilt of his sword.

The figure stepped forward, revealing a woman with piercing green eyes and long, raven-black hair. Her gaze seemed to bore into Lin Yuan's very soul.

Lin Yuan's grip on his sword reflexively tightened. "What legacy?"

Lin Yuan's mind reeled as the woman's words echoed through his mind. "What do you mean?"
