第68章 "Into the Silent Depths"

一念永恒

**Chapter 68: The Abyss's Secret**

As the Ghost-Taming Sword's hum pierced the air, White Xiaopu's world began to spin out of control. Li Xuan's grip seemed to tighten around his waist, pulling him deeper into the darkness. The wind howled like a chorus of restless spirits, and the moon above cast an eerie glow over the desolate landscape.

"You're done for, Xiaopu," Li Xuan sneered, her voice like a rusty gate. "The Silent Depths will absorb you whole, and no one will ever find your remains."

White Xiaopu's eyes bulged as he stared into Li Xuan's face, his mind racing with desperation. He knew he had to think fast, to find a way to escape this abyss. But his thoughts were clouded by fear, and his body felt heavy and unresponsive.

Just as all hope seemed lost, a faint glow appeared on the horizon. It grew brighter, illuminating the dark landscape and casting an otherworldly light on the struggling duo. Lee Chen, the eccentric master of the Nüwa Sect, emerged from the shadows, his eyes blazing with an intense inner fire.

"Hold on, Xiaopu!" Lee Chen yelled, his voice carrying above the wind. "I've got something for you!"

With a flick of his wrist, Lee Chen conjured a small, intricately carved box. It opened with a soft click, revealing a swirling mist that enveloped White Xiaopu. The boy's body began to glow with a soft blue light, and his struggles subsided as the mist infused him with an unexpected energy.

Li Xuan's grip relaxed, and she stared at Lee Chen with a mixture of surprise and suspicion. "What have you done, master?" she demanded.

Lee Chen's smile grew wider. "A little trick of the Nüwa Sect, my dear. A token of our esteem for the young hero. You see, Xiaopu, I've discovered something extraordinary – a secret hidden deep within the Abyss. And I believe it holds the key to unlocking his true potential."

As the mist dissipated, White Xiaopu's eyes snapped open, and he gazed up at Lee Chen with a mixture of confusion and curiosity. Li Xuan, however, looked like she had just sucked on a lemon – her face twisted with disdain.

"You're playing with fire, master," she warned. "The Silent Depths are not to be trifled with. We risk everything by meddling with its secrets."

Lee Chen's eyes sparkled with mischief. "Ah, but that's where you're wrong, my dear. Sometimes, the greatest rewards come from taking the greatest risks. And I have a feeling that Xiaopu's journey is only just beginning."

As the three of them stood there, poised on the brink of the abyss, a sense of anticipation hung in the air – the thrill of the unknown, the darkness of the unknown, and the tantalizing promise of secrets yet to be uncovered. But amidst the tension, a faint whisper echoed through the wind, a warning that the true test of their resolve was yet to come...
