**Chapter 63: The Gust of Chaos**
"Whispers in the Gust" echoed through the desolate plain, as if the wind itself was warning White Xiaopu of the impending danger. Li Xuan's unyielding stare had left him feeling like a trapped rabbit, his legs trembling uncontrollably.
Just as White Xiaopu thought he was about to collapse under the weight of Li Xuan's gaze, a sudden gust of wind swept across the plain, extinguishing the flames of the bonfire. The darkness was absolute, and White Xiaopu's heart skipped a beat as he sensed the presence of unknown entities lurking in the shadows.
"What sorcery is this?" Li Xuan growled, his voice eerily calm, but his eyes blazing with an otherworldly intensity.
White Xiaopu's instincts screamed at him to flee, but his legs seemed rooted to the spot. He could feel the weight of Li Xuan's gaze upon him, as if the man's very presence was suffocating him.
"Let me go, Li Xuan," White Xiaopu whispered, his voice barely audible over the howling wind.
Li Xuan's response was a cold, mirthless laugh. "You'll never leave this place, White Xiaopu. You're mine now."
As if on cue, the wind died down, plunging the plain into an oppressive silence. White Xiaopu's eyes adjusted to the darkness, and he made out the outlines of shadowy figures closing in on him.
"No...please...stop!" White Xiaopu screamed, his voice cracking with terror.
Li Xuan's eyes gleamed with malevolent glee as he raised his hand, and a dark, wispy tendril snaked out from his palm, ensnaring White Xiaopu's wrist.
"You should have stayed out of this, White Xiaopu," Li Xuan whispered, his voice dripping with malice. "Now, you'll pay the price for your foolishness."
The tendril began to tug, pulling White Xiaopu closer to Li Xuan's grotesque grin. White Xiaopu's world went dark as the darkness within Li Xuan's eyes seemed to swallow him whole...
