第116章 "Silence Speaks Volumes"

一念永恒

**Chapter 116: The Silent Accusation**

The air was thick with tension as the stranger's eyes met White Xiaopu's, the silence between them crackling with unspoken accusations. White Xiaopu's gaze never wavered, his eyes burning with a fierce determination. The stranger, however, remained impassive, his expression a mask of indifference.

"You're lying," White Xiaopu repeated, his voice low and even, but laced with an unmistakable venom. "You're telling me that Ling'er is alive, and now you're trying to gaslight me into believing it's all just a cruel joke?"

The stranger's gaze never left White Xiaopu's, but his eyes seemed to darken, as if the shadows themselves were deepening. "I'm telling you the truth, White Xiaopu," he said, his voice as flat as a stone. "And I'm willing to prove it."

White Xiaopu's eyes narrowed, his mind racing with the implications. "How?" he demanded, his voice dripping with skepticism.

The stranger smiled, a cold, calculating smile. "I'll take you to her," he said, his voice dripping with menace. "You can see for yourself that she's alive, and that everything I've told you is true."

White Xiaopu's eyes flashed with anger, but he knew that he had to stay calm, had to keep a clear head if he was going to get to the bottom of this mess. "I don't believe you," he said, his voice firm but controlled.

The stranger chuckled, a low, menacing sound. "You'll believe me soon enough," he said, his eyes glinting with a sinister light. "In fact, I think it's time we took a little trip to the mortal realm."

White Xiaopu's heart skipped a beat as he felt a chill run down his spine. "What do you mean?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

The stranger smiled again, his eyes glinting with malice. "We're going to pay a little visit to Ling'er," he said, his voice dripping with menace. "And you're going to see just how much she's changed."

As the stranger's words hung in the air, White Xiaopu felt a sense of dread settle in his stomach. What was he getting himself into? And what secrets lay hidden in the stranger's dark, calculating eyes?
