Here is the continuation of the 62nd chapter:

**The 62nd Chapter: The Fallout Continues**

The air was thick with tension as Nova's words hung in the air, like a challenge thrown down. Lemuel's eyes never left hers, his face a mask of guilt and regret. The silence between them was oppressive, like a weight that threatened to crush them both.

"I know I hurt you," Lemuel said finally, his voice laced with apology. "But I was trying to protect you, Nova. I didn't want you to get hurt."

Nova's laughter was bitter and cold. "Protect me? You mean like you're protecting me from the truth? You mean like you're protecting yourself from being exposed?"

Lemuel flinched, his eyes dropping to the ground. "Nova, please..."

But Nova was beyond consolation. She turned and walked away, leaving Lemuel standing alone in the silence.

As the days passed, the rift between them grew wider. Lemuel tried to reach out to Nova, to apologize and make amends, but she refused to see him. She was consumed by her anger and hurt, and Lemuel didn't know how to reach her.

And then, one day, Nova disappeared.

Lemuel was frantic with worry. He searched the galaxy for her, scouring every planet and moon, but there was no sign of her. He was starting to think that she had left him for good, that she had abandoned him to his fate.

But then, a message arrived. It was from Nova, and it was brief and enigmatic. "Meet me on planet Zorvath," it read. "Come alone."

Lemuel's heart skipped a beat as he read the message. What did she want from him? And why was she meeting him on planet Zorvath, of all places?

He didn't know, but he couldn't resist the urge to find out. He set off for Zorvath, his heart pounding with anticipation and fear.

As he landed on the planet, he saw Nova waiting for him. She was standing in the shadows, her eyes glowing with an otherworldly intensity.

"Nova," Lemuel said, his voice barely above a whisper. "What is it? What do you want from me?"

Nova stepped forward, her eyes burning with a fierce determination. "I want the truth," she said. "I want to know why you lied to me. I want to know why you betrayed me."

Lemuel swallowed hard, his heart heavy with guilt. "Nova, I..."

But Nova cut him off, her hand rising to stop him. "No," she said, her voice cold and hard. "I don't want to hear it. I just want you to pay for what you've done."

And with that, she reached out and slapped him.

The slap sent Lemuel stumbling back, his eyes wide with shock and pain. He knew that he had gone too far, that he had crossed a line that he couldn't come back from.

As he stared at Nova, he realized that he had lost her. He had lost the one person who had ever truly understood him, the one person who had ever truly loved him.

And with that, the darkness closed in around him, and everything went black.

To be continued...
