Nova's eyes blazed with fury as Lemuel remained stubbornly silent. The air was thick with tension, the only sound the soft hum of the ship's engines and the heavy breathing of the two men.

"You're hiding something from me, Lemuel," Nova accused, his voice dripping with venom. "I can see it in your eyes. You're not telling me everything."

Lemuel's expression remained impassive, but Nova could sense the slightest twitch in his jaw. "I'm telling you everything, Nova," he lied, his voice even.

Nova's glare intensified, his hand tightening around the hilt of his sword. "Don't lie to me, Lemuel. I know you too well. You're in on it, aren't you? You're working with them, against me."

Lemuel's eyes flickered, his hand instinctively reaching for the comms device on his belt. Nova's instincts screamed at him to attack, to eliminate the threat before it was too late.

"Who are they, Lemuel?" Nova demanded, his voice cold and detached. "Who are you working with?"

Lemuel's eyes snapped back to Nova's, his gaze steady and unyielding. "I'm not working with anyone, Nova. I'm just trying to survive."

Nova's laughter was harsh and bitter. "Survive? You call that surviving? You're playing into their hands, Lemuel. You're a pawn in their game of power and manipulation."
