Lin Chao's words hung in the air, heavy with accusation and anger. Old Ghost's expression, however, remained as calm as a winter lake. He chuckled, the sound like a rusty gate creaking in the wind.

"Ah, Lin Chao, you're so quick to judge," Old Ghost said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "But tell me, have you ever considered that there's more to the story than what you see on the surface?"

Lin Chao's eyes narrowed. "What are you talking about, Old Ghost? You betrayed me, and now you're trying to spin some kind of twisted justification for your actions?"

Old Ghost shrugged. "I'm simply trying to show you that there's more at play here than a simple mentor-student relationship. You see, Lin Chao, I've been playing this game a long time. Longer than you can imagine. And I've learned that sometimes, the only way to achieve true power is to make difficult choices."

Lin Chao's face twisted in disgust. "You're saying that betraying me was a necessary evil? That I'm just a pawn in your game?"

Old Ghost's expression turned cold, his eyes glinting with a sinister light. "You're not just a pawn, Lin Chao. You're a potential threat. A wild card that could upset the balance of power in Tian Yu. And I'll do whatever it takes to eliminate that threat."

The air was thick with tension as the two enemies glared at each other. Lin Chao's anger boiled over, and he felt his fingers itching for the attack button. But something held him back. The glimmer of a thought in Old Ghost's eyes, perhaps? The hint of a hidden agenda?

The game's music began to warp and distort, and the air was filled with an otherworldly energy. Lin Chao's character stumbled, trying to regain their footing as the world around them continued to unravel.

When Lin Chao came to, he was back in his real-world body, sitting in front of his computer. The screen flickered, and the game's menu loaded, displaying a message in bold red letters:

" Warning: Character's consciousness has been temporarily displaced. Please restart your game to resume playing."

Lin Chao's eyes widened as he stared at the screen. What had just happened? And what did Old Ghost have planned next?
