The silence between Lin Chao and Old Ghost was palpable, the tension almost unbearable. Lin Chao's eyes seemed to be saying, "You're done, old man." Old Ghost's face, however, was a picture of defiance, his eyes flashing with a mixture of anger and desperation.

"You're making a grave mistake, Lin Chao," Old Ghost spat, his voice low and menacing. "I've done everything for this guild. I've sacrificed everything for its success."

"Why?" Lin Chao's voice was like ice. "Why would you betray us, Old Ghost? We thought you were one of us."

Old Ghost's laughter was bitter. "You thought I was one of you? Ha! You're all just pawns in my game. I'd do anything to get ahead, even if it means crushing the very people I claim to care about."

Lin Chao's expression didn't change, but a hint of surprise flickered in his eyes. "You're willing to sacrifice everything for power?"

Old Ghost's smile grew wider. "What's power without sacrifice, Lin Chao? You should know that. You're the one who's been playing the game, using us all to get to the top."

Lin Chao's eyes narrowed. "What are you talking about?"

Old Ghost shrugged. "I have proof, Lin Chao. Proof of your deceit, your manipulation. And I'll make sure everyone knows the truth."

Lin Chao's face remained impassive, but a spark of anger flickered in his eyes. "You're bluffing, Old Ghost. You have nothing."

Old Ghost's smile grew even wider. "Oh, but I do. And I'll show you exactly what I have... in a few minutes."

With that, Old Ghost snapped his fingers, and the room was filled with the sound of machinery humming to life. The air was charged with electricity, and Lin Chao's eyes snapped towards the doors.

"What's going on?" someone whispered in alarm.

Lin Chao's eyes never left Old Ghost's face. "We're in trouble," he muttered.

The doors slid open, revealing a figure standing in the shadows. It was a woman, her face shrouded in darkness, her eyes glowing with an unnatural light.
