第114章 "权力之夜,暗影的来临" (The Night of Power, The Arrival of Shadows)

铁血战王

**114章:「权力的游戏,权力之战—暗夜的觉醒」(The Game of Power, Battle for Power—Midnight Awakening)**

Zhao Tianxiong's thoughts were a jumble as he lay in his bunk, eyes wide open in the darkness. Captain Zhang's words still echoed in his mind: "The game of power, the battle for power..." What did it mean? Was it a metaphor or a literal warning?

He tossed and turned, his mind racing with possibilities. As he was about to drift off to sleep, he heard a faint noise outside his door. He sat up, heart racing, and slowly got out of bed. The corridor was dimly lit, the only sound the soft hum of the air conditioning.

As he approached the door, he noticed it was slightly ajar. He pushed it open, and a cool breeze swept in, carrying with it the scent of cigarette smoke. Zhao Tianxiong's eyes adjusted to the darkness, and he saw a figure standing by the window, gazing out into the night.

"Who's there?" Zhao Tianxiong asked, his voice low and steady.

The figure turned, and Zhao Tianxiong saw that it was Wang Jia, one of the team's senior members.

"Sorry to disturb you, Zhao," Wang Jia said, his voice laced with a hint of cigarette smoke. "I couldn't sleep. I had to get some fresh air."

Zhao Tianxiong's instincts told him that something was off. Wang Jia was always a strict adherent to the rules, and he didn't usually venture out of his quarters at night.

"What's going on, Wang?" Zhao Tianxiong asked, his eyes narrowed.

Wang Jia hesitated, then said, "I overheard something earlier today. Captain Zhang was talking to one of the instructors, and I think they're planning something big."

Zhao Tianxiong's ears perked up. "What did they say?"

Wang Jia leaned in, his voice dropping to a whisper. "I didn't catch the whole conversation, but it seemed like they were talking about a special mission. Something that requires our expertise, but also puts us at risk."

Zhao Tianxiong's mind was racing. What kind of mission could Captain Zhang have in mind? And what did it have to do with the "game of power" he had mentioned earlier?

As Wang Jia turned to leave, Zhao Tianxiong called out, "Wait, Wang. You know what Captain Zhang said earlier today, right?"

Wang Jia stopped and turned back. "What do you mean?"

Zhao Tianxiong's eyes locked onto Wang Jia's. "He said the game of power, the battle for power... What did that mean?"

Wang Jia's expression was unreadable, but Zhao Tianxiong sensed a glimmer of understanding. "I think we're about to find out," Wang Jia said, before disappearing into the darkness.

Zhao Tianxiong's heart was racing as he returned to his quarters, his mind consumed by the mystery. What lay ahead, and how would he fare in the game of power? Only time would tell.

As he lay back in bed, he heard the sound of footsteps outside his door, growing fainter. He knew that he had to be prepared for whatever lay ahead. The game of power had begun, and Zhao Tianxiong was ready to play.
