第54章 "Shattered Loyalty"
太古神王
**Chapter 54: The Fractured Resolve**
Qin Wentian's eyes never left Chu Ling'er's face, his gaze piercing and unforgiving. "You're telling me that my own mentor, the one who trained me, is behind the 'Blood-Stained Betrayal'?" he repeated, his voice low and even.
Chu Ling'er nodded, her expression somber. "I'm afraid so, Qin Wentian. Your mentor, Feng Xiaoxiao, has been playing a double game all along. He's been using you to further his own interests, and the only reason he didn't kill you yet is because he needs you to complete his plans."
Qin Wentian's face darkened with rage. "Feng Xiaoxiao? Betrayal? You mean to tell me that the one person I trusted most in this world is the same person who's been trying to kill me?"
Chu Ling'er's eyes dropped, her voice barely above a whisper. "I'm so sorry, Qin Wentian. I didn't know it was him either until recently. I've been trying to uncover the truth behind the 'Blood-Stained Betrayal' for months, and I finally found out the identity of the mastermind behind the scenes."
Qin Wentian's fists clenched, his mind racing with anger and betrayal. He felt like his whole world had been turned upside down. "What did you find out?" he demanded, his voice dripped with venom.
Chu Ling'er took a deep breath before speaking. "Feng Xiaoxiao is working with the Dark Clan, Qin Wentian. They're the ones who've been controlling the strings behind the scenes, manipulating events to suit their own purposes. And you, Qin Wentian, are the key to their plans."
Qin Wentian's eyes blazed with fury. "Dark Clan? You mean to tell me that the entire time I thought I was fighting against some unknown entity, it was my own mentor all along?"
Chu Ling'er nodded, her voice trembling. "I know it's hard to believe, but it's the truth, Qin Wentian. And I'm willing to risk everything to help you stop them."
Qin Wentian's gaze never wavered, his mind set on one thing and one thing only: revenge. "Thank you, Chu Ling'er," he said, his voice cold and detached. "I'll make sure they pay for what they've done to me."
As the two of them stood there, the air seemed to vibrate with tension. The stakes had never been higher, and the consequences of failure were dire. But Qin Wentian was undeterred. He had a score to settle, and he would stop at nothing to get it.
The question now was, would Chu Ling'er be able to keep up with him, or would she become the next victim of the "Blood-Stained Betrayal"?
