The engineer's anger was palpable, and 程星 could sense the tension building between them. He took a deep breath, trying to calm the situation. "Listen, I know this is a lot to take in, but we need to think clearly about this."

The engineer's eyes blazed with fury. "Think clearly? You're telling me that the government has been hiding the truth from us, and you're asking me to think clearly? You're asking me to trust them?"

程星 nodded solemnly. "I'm not asking you to trust anyone. I'm asking you to look at the facts. The transmission, the government's involvement... it's all too suspicious. We need to dig deeper."

The engineer's face twisted in a mixture of emotions. "You're right. We can't just take their word for it. But what if we're wrong? What if we're jumping to conclusions?"

程星's expression turned grim. "If we're wrong, then we can always backpedal. But if we're right... if we're right, then we have to know the truth. For the sake of humanity."

The two men sat in silence for a moment, the only sound the hum of the computers in the background. Then, the engineer spoke up. "Okay. Let's do it. Let's dig deeper. But we need to be careful. If the government is involved, they won't stop until they get what they want."

程星 nodded, his eyes locked onto the engineer's. "I know. We'll need to be like ghosts, invisible and untouchable. We'll need to uncover the truth without being detected."

As they began to plan their next move, the air in the room seemed to thicken with anticipation. They knew that they were playing with fire, but they had no choice. The truth was out there, and they were determined to find it.

Just as they were about to leave the room, the engineer turned back to 程星. "One more thing. If we do find the truth, what then? What will we do with it?"

程星's eyes narrowed. "We'll expose it. We'll make sure the world knows what's going on. And we'll fight to bring those responsible to justice."

The engineer nodded, his expression resolute. "I'm with you. Let's do this."

As they left the room, the engineer couldn't shake off the feeling that they were being watched. He glanced around, but there was no one there. Still, the sensation lingered, making the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end.
