Here is the next chapter:

**Chapter 130: The Web of Alliances**

程星's piercing gaze lingered on the engineer's face, searching for any sign of vulnerability. The engineer, however, remained steadfast, his expression a mask of indifference.

"I'm not trying to deceive you,程星," the engineer said, his voice firm but measured. "I'm just trying to protect our interests."

程星's eyebrows arched in skepticism. "Protect your interests? By betraying me? You're the one who convinced me to join forces with the Trisolarans, and now you're trying to stab me in the back?"

The engineer's mask began to slip, and a flicker of anger appeared in his eyes. "You're being paranoid,程星," he said, his voice rising. "I'm just trying to keep our alliance strong."

程星's gaze narrowed. "Strong? You call this strong? You're willing to sacrifice me for your own gain. That's not strength, that's weakness."

The engineer's face twisted in frustration. "Fine, if you want to believe that, then believe it," he snapped. "But know this,程星: I'll do whatever it takes to protect our alliance, even if it means sacrificing you."

程星's eyes flashed with anger, but he remained calm, his voice dripping with venom. "You're making a grave mistake, my friend," he said. "I'll show you the true meaning of strength."

With that,程星 turned and walked away, leaving the engineer seething with anger and frustration. But little did he know,程星 had one more trick up his sleeve.

As he disappeared from view, the engineer received a cryptic message on his comms device. "Meet me at the old observatory at midnight. Come alone."

The engineer's heart raced as he wondered who could be sending him such a message. Was it程星, trying to lure him into a trap? Or was it someone else, trying to use him to further their own agenda?

As the hours ticked by, the engineer found himself torn between his loyalty to the alliance and his growing sense of unease. Was he being played by程星, or was there something more at play?

And as he made his way to the old observatory, he couldn't shake the feeling that his entire world was about to come crashing down around him.

The night was dark and silent, but the engineer could feel the weight of the universe bearing down on him. He had no idea what lay ahead, but he knew that his fate was about to be decided.

And as he approached the old observatory, he could see a figure waiting for him in the shadows. It was程星, his eyes burning with an intensity that seemed to pierce the very soul of the engineer.

"Welcome,"程星 said, his voice low and menacing. "I've been waiting for you."

The engineer's heart skipped a beat as he realized that he was trapped. But he refused to go down without a fight. "What do you want?" he spat, trying to keep his voice steady.

程星's smile was a cold, calculating thing. "I want to show you the true meaning of power," he said. "And I'll start by destroying everything you hold dear."

The engineer's eyes widened in shock as程星 pressed a button on his device. The engineer's world began to spin out of control, and he knew that he was in for the fight of his life.
