第78章 "Flames of Betrayal"

龙血战神

**78 Chapter: The Fury Unleashed**

Lin Feng's words had ignited a firestorm within Little Fifth, and the flames of fury were consuming him whole. His eyes blazed with a fierce intensity, his face reddening as he took another step forward.

"You think you can deceive me like this, Little Fifth?" Lin Feng's voice was low and deadly, his words dripping with venom. "You think you can betray me and get away with it?"

Little Fifth's face twisted in a snarl, his eyes flashing with defiance. "You're just as bad as me, Lin Feng," he spat. "You're just as power-hungry and ruthless."

The air was thick with tension as the two of them stood there, their eyes locked in a fierce stare. Lin Feng's dragon blood was raging out of control, his instincts screaming for him to lash out and destroy the treacherous Little Fifth.

But Lin Feng was not a mindless beast. He was a warrior, a strategist, and a master of the elements. He knew that in order to defeat his enemy, he had to keep his wits about him.

"You're right, Little Fifth," Lin Feng said, his voice dripping with poison. "I am power-hungry. But only because I know that with great power comes great responsibility. And I know that I am the only one who can truly wield it."

Little Fifth's snarl deepened, his eyes flashing with a mixture of anger and hatred. "You're a fool, Lin Feng," he sneered. "You think you're the only one who can wield power? Ha! I'll show you what true power looks like!"

With that, Little Fifth summoned a blast of magical energy, a burst of flames that threatened to engulf Lin Feng. But the young warrior was ready for him. With a flick of his wrist, he summoned a wall of water to deflect the flames, sending Little Fifth stumbling backward.

The two of them clashed, their powers locked in a fierce struggle. Lightning crackled through the air, earth shuddered beneath their feet, and the very skies seemed to darken with the intensity of their battle.

And then, just as it seemed that Lin Feng had the upper hand, a figure emerged from the shadows, a figure that sent a chill running down Lin Feng's spine.

"Ah, Little Fifth," the figure said, its voice like ice. "I see you're still playing with fire. Literally."

Little Fifth's eyes flickered, his gaze snapping to the newcomer. Lin Feng followed his gaze, and his heart skipped a beat as he realized who it was.

"Zhao Wu," Lin Feng spat, his voice trembling with rage. "You're the one who's been manipulating Little Fifth, using him to get to me."

Zhao Wu's smile was cold and calculating. "Ah, Lin Feng. You're so quick to assume the worst. But perhaps you're right. Perhaps I have been using Little Fifth to get to you. But let me tell you, I'm not the only one who's been playing games."

And with that, Zhao Wu vanished into thin air, leaving Lin Feng and Little Fifth staring at each other in confusion and fear.

"What's going on?" Lin Feng demanded, his voice tight with tension. "What secrets are you hiding, Little Fifth?"

Little Fifth's eyes darted nervously to the side, his face pale with fear. "I-I don't know what you're talking about, Lin Feng," he stuttered.

Lin Feng's gaze narrowed, his eyes burning with suspicion. "Don't lie to me, Little Fifth," he growled. "I know you're hiding something. And I'll find out what it is, no matter what it takes."

As the words hung in the air, the battle seemed to pause, the two warriors locked in a silent standoff. The fate of the world hung in the balance, and only one question echoed through Lin Feng's mind:

What secrets was Little Fifth hiding, and what would be the cost of uncovering them?
