第102章 "Shadows of Deception"
龙血战神
**102 Chapter: The Unraveling**
The air was thick with tension as Little Fifth's words continued to hang in the air. Lin Feng's expression remained calm, but his mind was racing with the revelation. He had always known that something was off about his life, but he never could have imagined the truth was so sinister.
"I understand that you're upset," Lin Feng said, his voice measured and calm. "But I'm not here to deceive you. I'm here to tell you the truth, no matter how difficult it may be."
Little Fifth's glare never wavered. "Why should I believe you?" he spat. "You're just a stranger who showed up out of the blue and claimed to be my father."
Lin Feng's eyes never left Little Fifth's. "Because the truth is what I'm about to reveal," he said. "You see, your mother and I, we... we were never married. We were never even in a relationship. But I did love her, Little Fifth. I loved her with all my heart."
The words hung in the air like a challenge, and for a moment, Little Fifth said nothing. Then, a small part of his expression changed, a glimmer of doubt in his eyes.
"What do you mean?" he asked, his voice softer now.
"I mean that your mother, she... she was a dragon," Lin Feng said. "She was a dragon who had a child with a human, and that child was you. But she died, Little Fifth. She died in childbirth, and I was left with nothing but a promise to raise you as my own."
The room seemed to spin as Little Fifth's eyes went wide. "No... no, that can't be," he whispered.
Lin Feng's expression softened. "I know it's a lot to take in, Little Fifth. But it's the truth. And I'm here to help you navigate this new reality, to help you discover who you are and what you're capable of."
But before Lin Feng could continue, the doors to the room burst open and a group of armed warriors stormed in.
"Lin Feng, you're under arrest for treason," one of them shouted.
Little Fifth's eyes snapped to Lin Feng, shock and betrayal written across his face. "Traitor?" he whispered.
Lin Feng's eyes met Little Fifth's, and for a moment, they were the only two people in the room.
"I'm sorry, Little Fifth," Lin Feng said, his voice low and urgent. "I didn't mean for this to happen. But I will fight to the death to protect you, to protect the truth. And I will not go down without a fight."
The warriors closed in, and Lin Feng stood tall, ready to face whatever lay ahead. But as he looked at Little Fifth, he knew that this was far from over. The truth was out, and now it was up to Little Fifth to decide what to do with it.
And with that, the chapter ends, leaving the readers wondering what will happen next...
