**Chapter 98: The Betrayal of Trust**
The locker room was still reeking of defeat, but Lin Feng's inner storm had finally subsided. He stood up, his eyes fixed on his teammates as they began to disperse, each one of them lost in their own thoughts. The loss to their arch-rivals, the Tianjin Lions, had been a bitter pill to swallow, and the silence that filled the room was oppressive.
"Hey, Feng, what's going on?" Chen Jian, their point guard, approached Lin Feng with a mixture of concern and curiosity. "You've been distant all game. Is everything okay?"
Lin Feng nodded curtly, his mind still grappling with the aftermath of the game. "Just frustrated, Jian. We should've won that game."
Jian's expression turned thoughtful, but before he could respond, their coach, Wang Peng, strode into the room, his face red with rage. "What's going on here? Why are you all acting like a bunch of losers?"
The room fell silent once more, as if the very air had been sucked out of it. Lin Feng's eyes narrowed, his instincts screaming at him to defend his teammates, but he remained silent, his gaze locked on Wang Peng.
"You're the one who's losing, Coach," Chen Jian spoke up, his voice laced with a quiet defiance. "We're the ones who gave it our all out there. You're the one who didn't trust us enough to give us the proper strategy."
Wang Peng's face turned an even deeper shade of red, his eyes bulging with rage. "How dare you! I've given you everything I have, and this is how you repay me? By questioning my coaching?"
Lin Feng felt a surge of anger ignite within him, his hands curling into fists at his sides. He knew that this wasn't the first time Wang Peng had doubted their abilities, but this was the final straw.
"You know what, Coach?" Lin Feng's voice was low and even, but the words hung in the air like a challenge. "I think it's time we took matters into our own hands. We're the ones who've carried this team this far, and we're the ones who will take us to the top. You can either get on board, or get out of the way."
The room erupted into chaos, the sound of shouting and furniture being overturned echoing through the corridors of the stadium. Lin Feng stood tall, his eyes blazing with determination, as his teammates rallied around him, united in their quest for victory.
But as the storm raged on, Lin Feng couldn't shake the feeling that he was being watched, that there was someone lurking in the shadows, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. The thought sent a shiver down his spine, and he knew that this was far from over.
