**Chapter 93: The Reckoning**
The locker room was still silent, the tension palpable. Lin Feng's teammates were all trying to process the crushing defeat they had just suffered. The opposing team's coach, Hao Wei, was already giving a triumphant speech, his voice echoing off the walls. Lin Feng's eyes remained fixed on the floor, his mind replaying the game. He couldn't believe they had blown it. They had been up by 10 points with just 5 minutes to go, and yet...
Coach Wang, their own coach, stormed into the locker room, his face red with rage. "What happened out there?" he bellowed, his voice echoing off the walls. "We were dominating the game, and yet we manage to blow it. Who's responsible for this mess?"
Lin Feng slowly looked up, his eyes meeting Coach Wang's. He knew he was being blamed, and he was ready for it. "I made the mistakes, Coach," he said, his voice firm but sheepish. "I should have taken control of the game earlier. We wouldn't have lost if I had played smarter."
Coach Wang's face turned even redder. "You think it's just you, Lin Feng? You think you're the only one who made mistakes? Newsflash, kid: we all made mistakes. But you're the one who's supposed to be our star player. You're supposed to be the one who leads us to victory. Instead, you're the one who blows it."
The other players were starting to stir, some of them nodding in agreement, others looking uncomfortable. Lin Feng's heart was racing, but he refused to back down. "I'll work harder, Coach," he said. "I'll do whatever it takes to make sure this doesn't happen again. I'll be the leader this team needs."
Coach Wang snorted. "You're going to have to do a lot more than just work harder, Lin Feng. You're going to have to prove yourself. And I'm not just talking about your basketball skills. I'm talking about your heart. Are you willing to do whatever it takes to win, or are you just going to go through the motions?"
Lin Feng took a deep breath, his eyes burning with determination. "I'll do whatever it takes, Coach," he said. "I'll do whatever it takes to win. I'll do whatever it takes to lead this team to victory."
As he spoke, the other players started to nod, some of them looking at Lin Feng with newfound respect. Coach Wang's expression softened slightly, but his eyes still radiated a fierce intensity.
"You'd better mean that, Lin Feng," he said. "Because starting next practice, I'm going to push you harder than you've ever been pushed before. And if you can't handle it, then maybe you're not the player I thought you were."
The locker room fell silent again, the tension palpable. Lin Feng knew that he had just crossed a threshold, and he was ready to do whatever it took to prove himself. But little did he know, the real test was just around the corner. A test that would push him to his limits, and beyond.
"To be continued..."
