**Chapter 22: The Unseen Enemy**

Lin Feng's uncertainty deepened as he tried to decipher Jaxon's cryptic words. He couldn't shake off the feeling that there was more to Jaxon's intentions than met the eye.

"You're saying that not only do I need to protect my position in the basketball world, but there's also someone or something working against me?" Lin Feng asked, his voice laced with caution.

Jaxon nodded solemnly, his eyes serious. "Yes, Lin Feng. There are those who would rather see you fail than succeed. And with your talent and potential, you're a threat to them."

Lin Feng's mind was racing with the implications. He had always been focused on his own game, never thinking about the politics and underhanded tactics that went on behind the scenes.

"So, who is this someone?" Lin Feng demanded, his grip on the basketball tightening.

Jaxon hesitated, his eyes darting around the court as if checking for unwanted listeners. "I'm not sure who it is yet," he admitted. "But I have a feeling it's someone close to you. Someone you trust."

Lin Feng's eyes narrowed. "What are you talking about, Jaxon? Who could it be?"

Jaxon's face turned grave. "I've seen the way your teammates look at you, Lin Feng. They're jealous of your talent, of the attention you're getting. And there's one person in particular who's been acting suspiciously."

"Who?" Lin Feng repeated, his voice low and urgent.

Jaxon's eyes locked onto Lin Feng's. "I think it's your best friend, Xu Tong."

Lin Feng's eyes widened in shock. Xu Tong was his confidant, his partner in crime on the court. He couldn't believe that his best friend could be plotting against him.

"What evidence do you have?" Lin Feng demanded, his voice trembling with anger.

Jaxon pulled out a small folder from his backpack. "I've been keeping an eye on Xu Tong's behavior, and I've found some suspicious messages on his phone. I think he's been working with someone to sabotage your game."

Lin Feng's hands clenched into fists. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. Xu Tong, his best friend and teammate, was plotting against him?

Just as Lin Feng was about to confront Xu Tong, a loud whistle blew, signaling the end of their practice session. Jaxon grabbed Lin Feng's arm, pulling him away from the court.

"We need to get out of here, Lin Feng. We can't let Xu Tong find out what we know," Jaxon whispered urgently.

Lin Feng nodded, his mind racing with the implications. He knew he had to confront Xu Tong, but he also knew that he had to be careful. He didn't want to give Xu Tong any opportunity to strike back.

As they walked away from the court, Lin Feng couldn't shake off the feeling that his entire world was turned upside down. He had always thought that he was playing with his friends, but now he realized that some of them might be playing against him.

The game was far from over, and Lin Feng knew that he had to stay one step ahead of his enemies if he wanted to emerge victorious. The question was, who would he have to betray to do so?
