**Chapter 158: The Deal**
Lin Feng's gaze never wavered as he continued to scrutinize Wu Shaohua. "I'm going to make you a deal," he said, his voice steady. "You want to collect debts, I'll give you a chance to collect from me. But you have to do something for me first."
Wu Shaohua's smile faltered for a moment, before he regained his composure. "What do you want me to do?" he asked, his tone skeptical.
"I want you to help me get a spot on the school's basketball team," Lin Feng replied, his eyes locked on the debt collector. "I have a feeling that my skills will be wasted on the bench. I want to be the star player of the team."
Wu Shaohua snorted. "You think you're good enough? You're just a high school kid, what do you know about basketball?"
Lin Feng's eyes flashed with anger, but he kept his emotions in check. "I know that I'm better than any of the players on the current roster. And I'm willing to prove it."
Wu Shaohua raised an eyebrow. "And what do you think I get out of this deal?"
"I'll give you a percentage of my future earnings," Lin Feng said, his voice firm. "You can collect your debts from me, and I'll make sure you're set for life."
Wu Shaohua's eyes narrowed, clearly weighing his options. After a moment, he nodded. "Alright, I'll take your offer. But if you can't deliver, I'll make sure everyone knows about it."
Lin Feng's eyes never left Wu Shaohua's face. "I'll deliver. And when I do, you'll be the one who's begging for mercy."
With that, Lin Feng turned and walked away, leaving Wu Shaohua to ponder the implications of their deal.
As Lin Feng disappeared into the crowd, Wu Shaohua couldn't help but feel a shiver run down his spine. There was something about this kid that didn't add up. He seemed too confident, too arrogant. But at the same time, Wu Shaohua couldn't deny the fire that burned in Lin Feng's eyes. This kid was a force to be reckoned with, and Wu Shaohua was willing to take a chance on him.
But as he watched Lin Feng walk away, Wu Shaohua's mind was already racing with the possibilities. What if Lin Feng actually did become a star player? What if he became famous, and Wu Shaohua was left holding the bag? The debt collector's smile faltered, and for a moment, he wondered if he had made a huge mistake.
As the tension between Lin Feng and Wu Shaohua dissipated, the crowd began to disperse. But one person remained, watching Lin Feng with a keen eye. It was Xu Rui, the school's basketball coach. He had been watching Lin Feng from the sidelines, taking note of his unique skills and determined attitude.
And now, he seemed to be waiting for something. Lin Feng felt a sense of unease, sensing that something was about to change. He turned to face Xu Rui, and for a moment, their eyes locked.
"Coach," Lin Feng said, his voice low. "What's going on?"
Xu Rui smiled, his eyes glinting with excitement. "Ah, Lin Feng, I think you're going to make my day a lot more interesting."
And with that, he turned and walked away, leaving Lin Feng to wonder what just happened.
