**Chapter 79: The Celestial's Conviction**
Chen Beixuan's eyes snapped back to the present as he heard the faint sound of approaching footsteps. He turned to face the intruding figures, his hand instinctively reaching for the Celestial's staff.
A group of five heavily armed guards, led by a cold-eyed woman named Shen Bingfang, emerged from the shadows. "Chen Beixuan, you're under arrest for the destruction you've caused," she declared, her voice firm and commanding.
Chen Beixuan sneered, his eyes flashing with anger. "You're too late. The Celestial's power is already beyond your control." He raised his staff, and the air around him began to distort and writhe.
Shen Bingfang snarled, drawing her sword. "You think a little trick like that will save you? We'll crush you like the insignificant insect you are!"
The guards closed in, their eyes gleaming with excitement. Chen Beixuan met their attack with a fierce determination, unleashing a torrent of Celestial energy that sent the guards flying.
"You fools!" he bellowed, his voice echoing through the ruins. "You think you can stop me? I am the master of the Celestial's power!"
As the last guard fell, Shen Bingfang approached Chen Beixuan, her sword still trembling with rage. "You may have the power of the Celestial, but you'll never escape the consequences of your actions," she spat.
Chen Beixuan's eyes narrowed, his face twisting into a snarl. "Consequences? You're the one who should be worried, Shen Bingfang. The Celestial's wrath will soon befall you, and all of this city will burn!"
With a sudden burst of energy, Chen Beixuan vanished, leaving Shen Bingfang and her guards staring at each other in confusion.
"What just happened?" one of the guards whispered, his voice trembling.
Shen Bingfang's face darkened. "We'll find him. And when we do, we'll make sure he pays for his crimes."
As the guards dispersed, Shen Bingfang's gaze lingered on the spot where Chen Beixuan had disappeared. She could feel the weight of the Celestial's power still lingering in the air, a constant reminder that the true battle was only just beginning.
And as she turned to leave, she could have sworn she heard the distant hum of the Celestial harmonics, whispering a single word in her ear: "Wait..."
