第154章 "Betrayal of Blood Oath"

剑道独尊

**154章:The Betrayal of Trust**

Lin Feng's words dripped with venom, his eyes seeming to bore into Chenyang's very soul. "You're telling me that our entire existence as Swordsmen is just a means to an end? That we're nothing more than pawns in a game of power and influence?"

Chenyang's expression remained unyielding, but a hint of unease flickered across his face. "Lin Feng, you're misunderstanding—"

"Understand this," Lin Feng cut him off, his voice rising. "I've given my life to the Sword, to our community. I've sacrificed everything for the sake of our art. And this is what I get in return? Betrayal?"

The tension between them was palpable, the air thick with the weight of Lin Feng's anger. Chenyang's eyes narrowed, his jaw clenched in a silent struggle to contain his emotions.

"Lin Feng, please," Chenyang began, his voice laced with a desperation he couldn't quite conceal. "You need to calm down and listen to what I have to say."

But Lin Feng was beyond reason. His sense of betrayal stung like a physical blow, his anger coursing through his veins like a raging fire. "What could you possibly have to say to justify this?" he spat, his words dripping with disdain.

Chenyang's face paled, his eyes flashing with a mixture of fear and determination. "I...I'll tell you the truth, Lin Feng. The truth about the Sword's true intentions."

Lin Feng's gaze never wavered, his anger and curiosity mingling in a potent cocktail. "Go on," he snarled, his voice low and deadly.

Chenyang took a deep breath, his eyes darting nervously around the room. "The Sword...it's not just a instrument of justice or a means to an end. It's a tool, Lin Feng. A tool to control and manipulate the world."

Lin Feng's eyes widened, his mind reeling with the implications. "What do you mean?"

Chenyang's voice dropped to a whisper. "The Sword's true purpose is to create a new world order, one in which the Swordsmen wield absolute power and control. And we're just pawns in their game, Lin Feng. Pawns to be used and discarded at their whim."

The room seemed to spin around Lin Feng, the words striking him like a lightning bolt. He felt his world crumbling, his trust in the Sword and its community shattered. And in that moment, he knew that he had to make a choice.

Would he continue down the path he had chosen, or would he forge a new one?

The answer, as it always did, lay in the sword.
