第127章 "Shadow Puppeteer"

都市之最强狂兵

**Chapter 127: The Game of Shadows (Part 18)**

Xiao Zhan's smile grew wider as Lin Feng's anger intensified. "Ah, you're so easy to manipulate," he said, his voice dripping with amusement. "You're like a well-oiled machine, responding to every string I pull."

Lin Feng's face turned red with rage as he slammed his fists onto the table. "You're lying!" he shouted. "I'm not a puppet! I'm a man, and I won't be controlled!"

The air was thick with tension as the two men locked eyes. Xiao Zhan's smile never wavered, but Lin Feng's anger was palpable.

"You're so eager to prove yourself, but you're just playing into my hands," Xiao Zhan said, his words dripping with condescension. "You're so focused on your own pride that you've forgotten the stakes. The game is far from over, Lin Feng."

Lin Feng's anger boiled over, and he lunged at Xiao Zhan, but the other man was too quick. With a swift kick, Xiao Zhan sent Lin Feng crashing to the floor.

As Lin Feng struggled to get up, Xiao Zhan stood over him, his eyes cold and calculating. "You're so predictable," he said. "You always fall for the bait. But I suppose that's what makes you so useful."

Lin Feng's face contorted with rage as he scrambled to his feet. "You're done, Xiao Zhan," he snarled. "I'll show you what I'm capable of."

Xiao Zhan chuckled. "Oh, I'm shaking in my boots," he said. "But you're just delaying the inevitable. You'll never win against me, Lin Feng. I'm the master of this game, and you're just a pawn."

The two men faced off, their eyes locked in a fierce stare. The air was electric with tension as the game of shadows continued.

As they stood there, a sudden commotion erupted outside the room. The sound of shattering glass and crashing furniture filled the air, followed by the sound of footsteps, heavy and deliberate.

Xiao Zhan's eyes flickered, and his smile faltered for a moment before he regained his composure. "Ah, it seems we have an audience," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "How... amusing."

Lin Feng's eyes narrowed, his mind racing. Who was behind the commotion? And what did they want?

As the door burst open, a figure strode in, his eyes scanning the room. It was Bai Feng, Xiao Zhan's right-hand man.

"Xiao Zhan, we have a problem," Bai Feng said, his voice low and urgent. "The Black Dragon Gang has launched a surprise attack on our headquarters. They're trying to take out our top echelons."

Xiao Zhan's smile returned, and he raised an eyebrow. "How... inconvenient," he said. "I suppose we'll have to take care of this little problem first. Lin Feng, you're just in time to join the party."

Lin Feng's eyes flashed with anger as he faced Xiao Zhan. "You're using me," he snarled.

Xiao Zhan's smile grew wider. "Ah, but you're so eager to prove yourself. And what better way to do that than to take down the Black Dragon Gang?"

With that, the game of shadows took a dramatic turn. The stakes were higher than ever, and the outcome was far from certain. Would Lin Feng and Xiao Zhan emerge victorious, or would they fall victim to the chaos that was unfolding? The suspense was killing, and Lin Feng knew that he had to make a choice - to join forces with Xiao Zhan or to strike out on his own. The clock was ticking, and the game was far from over.
