第104章 "Shadow's Unexpected Return"

都市之最强狂兵

**Chapter 104: The Unexpected Confrontation**

Xiao Zhan's eyes locked onto the figure, his instincts screaming at him to prepare for battle. The figure slowly turned to face him, its features illuminated by the faint light.

"Xiao Zhan," the figure said, its voice dripping with venom. "I didn't think you'd be so easy to find."

Xiao Zhan's hand instinctively went to his gun holster, but he hesitated. This wasn't someone he wanted to take down with force. Not yet, at least.

"Ji Siqi," Xiao Zhan replied, his voice calm and even. "I didn't expect to see you here. What brings you to this humble abode?"

Ji Siqi's eyes narrowed. "You know exactly why I'm here, Xiao Zhan. You know what I want."

Xiao Zhan took a step forward, his eyes never leaving Ji Siqi's face. "You want to know what happened to your precious brother, don't you?"

Ji Siqi's expression twisted with rage. "You killed him, didn't you? You killed my brother just like you killed my father."

Xiao Zhan's face remained impassive, but his heart raced with anger. "I didn't kill your brother, Ji Siqi. And I didn't kill your father. You know exactly what happened. You're just trying to shift the blame."

Ji Siqi sneered. "You're just trying to cover your own tracks. But I won't let you get away with it. I'll make sure everyone knows what you did."

Xiao Zhan's patience snapped. "You're not even making sense, Ji Siqi. What do you want from me?"

Ji Siqi's eyes locked onto Xiao Zhan's, her voice dripping with malice. "I want revenge. And I'll get it, no matter what it takes."

Xiao Zhan's eyes flashed with anger, but he kept his cool. He knew that Ji Siqi was just a pawn in a much larger game. He needed to find out who was behind Ji Siqi's sudden interest in him and why.

"I'll give you something to think about, Ji Siqi," Xiao Zhan said, his voice dripping with menace. "Meet me at the old warehouse at midnight. Come alone."

Ji Siqi's eyes narrowed, but she nodded. "I'll be there. And when I am, you'll regret underestimating me."

Xiao Zhan watched Ji Siqi leave, his mind racing with possibilities. Who was behind Ji Siqi's sudden betrayal? And what did they want from him?

As he turned back to the room, he noticed a figure lurking in the shadows. This one was different, with eyes that seemed to bore into Xiao Zhan's very soul.

"Who are you?" Xiao Zhan demanded, his hand instinctively hovering over his gun.

The figure stepped forward, its face illuminated by the faint light. "My name is Lin Sheng. And I'm here to warn you, Xiao Zhan. You're in grave danger. Ji Siqi is just the beginning."

Xiao Zhan's eyes narrowed, his instincts screaming at him to be careful. But he knew that Lin Sheng was telling the truth. He could feel it.

As they spoke, the clock on the wall ticked away, counting down the minutes until midnight. Xiao Zhan's heart raced with anticipation. What lay ahead, and who would be waiting for him?

To be continued...
