第92章 第92章

谍影风云

**Chapter 92: "The Betrayal of Trust"**

I burst into the abandoned warehouse, my eyes scanning the dimly lit space for any sign of Nightshade. My keen senses picked up the faint scent of gunpowder and the soft hum of machinery. I knew I wasn't alone.

Suddenly, a figure emerged from the shadows. It was Raven, Nightshade's right-hand man.

"What's going on, Raven?" I demanded, my hand instinctively reaching for my gun.

Raven's expression was a mixture of confusion and suspicion. "Lin, what are you doing here? Nightshade sent me to meet you, but I have no idea what's happening."

I narrowed my eyes. "Where is she?"

Raven hesitated before answering. "I don't know. She disappeared on our way here. I've been searching for her everywhere, but... I can't find her."

My gut told me something was off. Nightshade wouldn't just vanish without a word. I took a step closer to Raven, my voice low and menacing.

"What do you know, Raven? What's going on?"

Raven's eyes darted back and forth, and for a moment, I thought I saw a glimmer of fear. "I don't know what you're talking about, Lin. I swear it."

I grabbed Raven by the collar, my grip like a vice. "Don't lie to me, Raven. I've been watching you, and I know you're hiding something. What did Nightshade find out?"

Raven's eyes filled with panic. "Okay, okay! I'll tell you. But you have to promise to listen and not get mad."

I released my grip, but kept my eyes locked on Raven's. "I'm listening. Talk."

Raven took a deep breath before speaking. "Nightshade discovered a traitor within our organization. Someone who's been working with the enemy all along."

My mind reeled as the truth began to sink in. "Who is it?"

Raven's face contorted in anguish. "I'm sorry, Lin. It's... it's me."

I felt like I'd been punched in the gut. Raven, my trusted ally, was the traitor?

The silence that followed was deafening, and I knew I had to make a decision. But before I could react, a loud explosion rocked the warehouse, and everything went dark.

To be continued...
