第70章 第70章

重生之都市仙尊

**70th Chapter: The Web of Revenge**

The sound of Jiang Wanshan's words still lingered in the air, and Lin Qingxue's expression turned white as a sheet. She had never expected him to know the truth, let alone that he had been watching her all along.

"You're so clever, Jiang Wanshan," she said, her voice trembling with rage. "I didn't think anyone could outsmart me."

Jiang Wanshan's smile was cold and calculating. "You underestimated me, Lin Qingxue. I've been playing a long game, and it's about to pay off."

The two of them stood there, locked in a silent struggle. Lin Qingxue's mind was racing, trying to think of a way to turn the tables. But Jiang Wanshan was a master of manipulation, and she knew she was in over her head.

Just as it seemed like the situation couldn't get any more dire, a group of rowdy teenagers stumbled into the room, drawing attention away from the tense standoff. Lin Qingxue saw her chance and quickly took it, using the distraction to make a break for the door.

But Jiang Wanshan was too quick, and he caught up to her in the hallway. "Looks like you're not as smart as you thought you were, Lin Qingxue," he sneered, as he pinned her against the wall.

Lin Qingxue glared up at him, her eyes blazing with fury. "You'll pay for this, Jiang Wanshan. You'll pay dearly."

Jiang Wanshan just laughed, a cold, mirthless sound. "I'm not worried. You see, I have a plan, and it's going to be a game-changer. You'll be the first to know when it's set in motion."

With that, he pushed her away and walked off, leaving Lin Qingxue feeling stunned and helpless. She knew she had to regroup and come up with a new plan, but for now, she was left reeling from the unexpected blow.

As she made her way back to her office, she couldn't shake the feeling that she was being watched. She glanced around, but saw nothing out of the ordinary. Still, the sensation lingered, making her skin crawl.

When she finally arrived at her office, she collapsed onto the couch, her mind racing with possibilities. What was Jiang Wanshan's plan? And how could she stop him?

Just as she was starting to piece together her thoughts, the phone rang. It was an unknown number, but something about the ringing tone seemed familiar. Lin Qingxue's heart skipped a beat as she answered the call.

"Hello?" she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

A low, husky voice spoke on the other end of the line. "Lin Qingxue, you're in a bit of a pickle, aren't you?"

Lin Qingxue's eyes narrowed. Who was this? And how did they know her name?

"You know who this is, don't you?" the voice said, as if reading her mind.

Lin Qingxue's grip on the phone tightened. "Who is this?" she demanded.

The voice chuckled. "You'll find out soon enough. Just remember, I'm always watching, and I always get what I want."

With that, the line went dead. Lin Qingxue was left staring at the phone, her mind racing with possibilities. Who was behind the mysterious call? And what did they want from her?

As she sat there, trying to make sense of it all, she felt a strange sensation in the air. It was as if the very fabric of reality was shifting, and she was about to be pulled into a world far beyond her wildest imagination.

And then, everything went black.
