第60章 "Vengeance Unraveled"
重生之都市仙尊
**60th Chapter: The Web of Revenge**
"I'll never let you off the hook, Lin Qingxue!" Jiang Wanshan's voice thundered, his eyes blazing with fury. Lin Qingxue's mask of calm never wavered, but a hint of amusement danced in her gaze. "You really think I'd involve myself in something as petty as murder? You're just trying to distract me from the real issue."
Jiang Wanshan's face twisted in rage. "You're lying! You're just trying to cover your tracks!" He took a step closer, his fists clenched. Lin Qingxue didn't flinch, her eyes unwavering.
"You know nothing about me, Jiang Wanshan," she said, her voice low and husky. "But I do know one thing - you're not as clever as you think you are." She smiled, a cold, calculated smile. "You see, I've been waiting for this moment for a long time. And now that it's here, I'm going to make sure you pay for what you did to me."
Jiang Wanshan's eyes widened in shock and fear. He had no idea what Lin Qingxue was capable of, but he knew that he was outmatched. He turned to flee, but it was too late. Lin Qingxue's eyes flashed with a fierce light, and Jiang Wanshan felt a strange sensation wash over him.
He tried to struggle, but it was no use. Lin Qingxue's powers were too strong, and he was dragged back to the present, his memories of the past few minutes erased. When he opened his eyes again, he found himself standing in the middle of the city, alone and confused.
As he looked around, trying to get his bearings, he noticed a figure watching him from the shadows. It was Lin Qingxue, her eyes glinting with malice.
"You should have stayed out of this, Jiang Wanshan," she said, her voice dripping with venom. "Now you're just a pawn in my game."
Jiang Wanshan's eyes narrowed. He knew that he had to get out of there, and fast. But as he turned to leave, he felt a strange sensation in his chest. It was as if something was awakening within him, something powerful and ancient.
And then, just as suddenly, everything went black.
